For me, was my response, and after my experience with Pinky Promise, I'm so glad I did. From start to finish the experience is something I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in doing something like this. I had a couple of friends who had used their services for engagement, wedding, and pin up shoots and the results were amazing, so I knew going in I was in good hands. I started at 11 at one of the photographers home in North Houston with make up. Morgan Horres from Lady Paint Make Up did my make up, and she did an amazing job. I've had my make up done professionally a couple of times, but this was by far my favorite. Barbara did my hair which we pinned up in big curls due to the length of my hair and the heat. She completely was able to capture the whole moment of the pin up style I was looking for. The actual shoot was done near Conroe at a mechanic shop with older cards and hot rods, which I loved, because I am a sucker for classic cars. Working with Cristina made me feel completely at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. The shoot was flirty, sexy, and a definite confidence booster. They were able to capture playful moments, and some serious ones. I was able to work in some lingerie, some super cute pin up outfits, and some other very cool shots. After viewing the finished product, I can say I was very happy with the process. This isn't something they do every weekend, but they did offer it as a mini session, and do them on a regular basis with other clients. I did like that they spaced everyone out enough so that there were not 5 people watching you taking photos, which make it that much more special. Definately a once in a lifetime experience that I will walk away from with some really great keepsakes for myself, so that one day I can look back on and remember what I looked like 25 years ago, and all done for me. When it rained the day of the photoshoot, (set to be outdoors), she had a plan in place for a gorgeous indoor-shoot, and also extended the courtesy to reschedule if I really wanted outdoor photos. I'm a return client, having been photographed by Nolan in 2008. Nolan and his wife Lucinda run a very professional photography establishment and their customer service is top notch. I've been photographed at the mall in the past and I can testify that it makes a world of difference when you go to professional photographer who has DECADES of experience under his belt. He's more than a guy with fancy equipment. He's very well-versed in the technical AND artistic facets of photography that comes with years of experience in the field. What I like most is the relaxed atmosphere of his studio. Nolan and Lucinda make you feel at home, so you don't feel nervous about the session. Lucinda was warm and welcoming both times that I visited the studio and Nolan is always full of witty anecdotes to keep the mood light and breezy. There's nothing stuffy or uptight about the experience. Oddly enough, my pictures looked like something out of a magazine!
