We are very happy with the final finished product of our spray foam installation in our Basement…read more I would have given 5 stars, but the confusion and poor communication with the booking/scheduling department prevents. Our Sales person Bill was excellent, he helped explain the process along with some tips and tricks to properly construct and prepare for the install (I was doing much of the framing etc.. myself) which was time and care no other sales person really took. I received a couple other quotes and GNI came in at a reasonable price (not the lowest, not the highest), but I felt that Bill's knowledge and expertise was valuable and a good representation of what we could expect from GNI as a whole. The other positive reviews were also very compelling reason we chose them. In the booking process, I think we hit a few unfortunate events around the timing of our installations - which happens in construction projects. Our disappoint however was due to the poor communication of changes and delays (little to none at all). I my opinion this was an opportunity where clear, timely communication back to us about the changes could have relieved much stress and allowed us to make the necessary adjustments to our schedules. Their was little consideration, by the scheduling department when announcing changes, that the requirement to, have someone home at the time of install, but also have the family out of the house and have alternate sleeping arrangements for our family wasn't completely fluid and couldn't just change on a few hours notice. We had our install split into 2 parts - 1st was the rim joist, and weeks later the exterior walls. In both cases we were not kept in the loop to changes in the appointment timing - which was being deviated from the original appointment, and we had substantial difficultly getting a hold of, or a return call from, the scheduler over seeing our account to get updates and clarifications. The installations themselves went smooth and problem free once the crew arrived. Jason and his partner did both our installs, and took great care and diligence moving through our house, running their lines, prepping any and all sensitive areas with covers or masking including windows, furnace, our boxes and storage. They laid down drop cloths as they went. Our basement is an unfinished state, with rough concrete floors etc... and yet they still took great care to keep their work clean and impact minimal. They were polite, courteous and moved quickly through the work taking extra care in the tougher spots and were able to accommodate a couple requests we had to avoid a couple spots, or dress them lighter. We have noticed a significant reduction in the drafts, and it helped to seal up openings we had where critters had in the past gained access.
