They cannot be pleased or satisfied with anything in life because they are not happy with themselves... and it shows. These events are a lot of fun, I had a blast! The best way to approach the event is to go into it not expecting anything but to chat and have a good time. You may or may not connect with someone, but the best way to enjoy these events is to relax and have fun. Open up slowly, be mysterious at first, tease, joke around and generally let your guard down, don't take yourself or anyone else too seriously is the best approach. It's all about the proper attitude, which is to hold yourself in high regard, loosen up and hope to find someone of like mind. Anyone who says these events suck hasn't gone into it with the right mindset. They expect the world handed to them on a silver platter. They want all the rewards without putting in any work, they want people to like them even if they act like crabs, they generally suck, and fail as people, so don't take what they say to heart. As for the event... FUN, FUN, FUN! The hosts are there to help you ask the right questions and ensure that you have a pleasant experience. I have met some amazing women that I continue to date, romantically or platonically... I travel a lot so it's near impossible to maintain a long term relationship, that's why this event is PERFECT for me. Yes, there will be a few insecure and grumpy singles, best to avoid them. It's only an eight minute date so it's not that painful to sit through if he/she is a downer (besides you find these people everywhere not just dating events.) They are single for a reason! And they show up online and at these events, in public, etc... avoid them and don't let them taint your experience. Just do you, and keep a positive attitude. At worst you may make some new friends! I can't say for everyone but I myself look forward to the events when I can attend (I'm a busy professional) and I enjoy the heck out of them. Looking forward to the next one! Keep up the good work 25Dates Team! T.

Please sign here.... I hired this 'matchmaker' years ago (@2009/10). The first man they tried to set me up with was 'just separated' (not even close to being divorced), still living with his wife and two children, a completely different religion...."but he likes music" they told me....they really pushed me to go out with him, I did not. They also told me to dress-down a bit as perhaps I intimidated men because I always looked 'dressed up'...well that's my job, I work in medical sales... And that's just the start.... There was also the short gentleman 5'5 (I'm 5'7") and I was told perhaps I was being too picky about height and maybe I should not wear high-heels all the time. Didn't go out with him either. And then the gentleman in a 'wife-beater' with a mullet, not that I am judging hairstyles but...he would not have gone out with me, I am sure of it. They told me perhaps I should lower my standards. This is going to sound conceited but, I am not a plain-Jane.... I only had two dates and was promised at least 6. Jane ghosted me at one point after I called her out on her broken promises. She took offence to my questioning her business practices, as one would. She would not give me back my money. I felt like I had been scammed. Anyway as time and matches went by, I soon realized I was getting matches, over and above the original 6 I had signed up for. No more money was asked of me, so I felt "Lets see how far this ride goes'. One thing that confused me, was getting calls from someone in Dallas informing me of my latest match. What does Dallas have to do with Vancouver? Anyway, out of 30 matches, 1 for sure was a great match, and the other 29 had no interest after our first meeting. 1 match, after we agreed to meet, phoned back to say her children didn't want her to meet me. Another was highly insulated that I suggested our lunch be "Dutch Treat". Covid seemed to shut everything down for me, as I didn't want to meet anyone during the Pandemic. Obviously neither did BC Matchmakers, as they never called with another match. So far as hand matching people, don't believe it. I think they just take your money, match you with whomever they want, and hope they can keep you on their line for either getting more money out of you, or by luck, you do find someone through them. I seriously suggest, you do your homework and use a more professional service than this. I will say in closing, it was an interesting experience, met 30 women, and unfortunately for whatever reasons, never found "That Someone Special."
