Luckily the Oxfam bookshop has a small English book section, and I regularly have a look see for any new additions. The books on offer are usually in good condition, a couple of times I've found a bit of a scribbler has been at them though. The staff are usually friendly and helpful and a couple of them speak English, which was useful when the only German I knew was Zwei Bier, bitte.
If you want to buy a book or donate a book it's well worth a visit.
