We hired Blue Spruce to do work on our property which has been left unfinished and is a safety hazard for ourselves, our children and our pets. We hired Blue Spruce to build a 51' retaining wall and brick walls however they only built 33' of retaining wall. The multiple tons of dirt excavated from property has been left in our back yard. We were told at the beginning of job that Blue Spruce was to remove all dirt however after the job started they told us that they won't remove and it is up to the client to handle all dirt removal. From day 1 we asked for written estimates and plans with measurements however company was never able to provide a clear itemized cost sheet. At one point the owner told us to write up "our own" itemized cost sheet as she didn't have the time. We were told that workers knew what the plan was and they don't do blue prints. We had to supervise construction every day as there were 3 different instances that Blue Spruce was pouring concrete walls in the wrong place! This was to be a 3 week job however has now lasted for over 12 weeks and is still not resolved. Work site was left every day with wood, rebar, trash, tools, rocks and metal strewn all over property. Property was used as a storage facility for equipment while no work was being done on our property. Blue Spruce has demanded full payment for work that was never done and now additionally wants to charge extra fees for work that is needed to fix their incorrect job. They have threatened to put a lien on our houses through concrete company for not paying them full amount for a job not done. Our property has been left as a safety hazard for us and our children with exposed rebar and structurally unsound brick wall.

Until the walls / gates were up I could not move into the property because I have a Big dog!! Well 30 days later he calls me and tells me he is done for me to come over and inspect, I run to the bank to get cash (as he insisted) and when I get done he is there waiting for me. So being a nice person I paid and then he told me he got the walls done but doesn't have time for the gates!!! Really you just took $1000.00 from me. So another 30 days later I am still NOT moved in. The double gate side was 6 inches too small so I had to tear apart my gate. Then the smaller size 4 foot opening was 5 inches too Big!!!! The gates were sitting there the ENTIRE time, no EXCUSE for Bad MEASUREMENTS!!! It is a little job and NO BODY wants to do little jobs!! Do NOT hire him, he is dishonest, wanting cash makes me think he does not pay taxes. Not a nice Person!!!!

I wanted to build cinderblock walls for extra security so after checking internet reviews and websites, I decided to go with LG Landscaping. Their great reviews and website values really sold me on choosing this company. He met me at the house took measurements was very polite about me wanting to use pre-made gates (home warming presents!). After waiting about a month (contracted on 04/02, "finished" the job 04/30) he told me the walls were done and gates installed. Wouldn't meet me at the house to review his work instead met me at the bank for final payment. I thought it was odd and wanted to meet at the house; but felt pressured to meet uptown and I was told multiple times he was a professional who did this on a normal basis. When I made it to the house, the gates weren't installed and on top of that the walls were the wrong size! The gates that have been sitting there since LG Landscapings were contracted, the gates that they had measurements and dimensions for, my gates did not fit. One side the cinderblock is too small and the other side it's too large. When I asked them what I should do, I was told (very rudely) to buy different gates. That's not a solution! I should never have been struggling to find a solution to this because it should never have been an issue. It's my first house. It's my first time hiring someone. I went with a "professional" company hoping for professional results. Now I have very expensive cinderblock walls with odd size openings that will not fit any gates and gates that will never fit. I will never work with this company again. I will never recommend this company to anyone. My first home major renovation is now tainted with this experience. Now I struggle to be able a solution to by very expensive problem. I thought I was doing everything I should do. He gave me business cards. Came over in a business truck. But then left me in a bind with monster energy canes scattered across my yard and bags of left over cement in my trash cans.
