Before my first appointment, I was told by office staff my insurance would be accepted. After the visit, I found out they actually don't take my insurance and was left with a $400 bill to my surprise weeks later. To make matters worse, because of my policy, my insurance will not cover a new first-time appointment at another office which accepts my insurance. I feel misled and very frustrated by the lack of transparency. Patients deserve honesty upfront about coverage and costs. Other than this quite bewildering situation, which I've heard many of the times occurring. I would recommend this practice for their service!

Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

Cleaning: When was the last time your dentist did your teeth cleaning?? Personally, I'm not sure I've ever had a dentist give me a cleaning! It was a nice touch. Exam: She was gentle and thorough with her exam. Dr. Gandingco also explained to me what she was seeing, which was really helpful in terms of making me more aware of little changes I could make at home to improve my dental health. She was thoughtful, requesting comparison x-rays as I'm a new patient to her office before she made her final clinical diagnosis. Billing: She has her office staff request price quotes from insurance so there are no financial surprises. In the future, I'll just make sure to start that process ahead of my appointment. Location: It's in Westlake Shopping Center, in the dental building. The building itself is definitely dated but the suite inside was clean and fine. It is street parking, but there was enough free street parking and the parking lot which I could have utilized if needed. I'm so glad that I found Dr. Gandingco!

The team pays close attention to comfort and always checks in if there's any discomfort or pain. Nothing ever feels rushed, and there's no pressure to purchase unnecessary services or products. The staff--both front desk and clinical--are professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. Communication is clear, and everything is handled smoothly from check-in to treatment. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and well-equipped. The setup is thoughtful, with TVs positioned in front of you while seated and even one above when you're lying down, which makes visits more comfortable. Location is also convenient, right across Serramonte Center, with its own parking lot--easy access every time. I've stayed with them even after becoming out-of-network due to a change in insurance. After moving to another city, I visited a new dentist due to other dental issues. During the checkup, I asked about the condition of that root canal, and the new dentist praised the quality of the treatment I had received. Later, another dentist tried to redo the root canal on my pain-free tooth and encouraged me to continue treatment with him for other problematic teeth, but I lost trust. Now, facing new root canal issues, I truly hope to have the chance to see Dr. Huang again, even though he no longer works in my original city. I'm very grateful for their expertise and care!.

Lastly, silver crowns haven't been allowed for use in the U.S. since the Woodrow Wilson period; they corrode in the mouth. She's not a 'greedy' dentist, as her education and office expenses were paid off years ago, unlike all the 'paid' ads here on Yelp in which the dentist is attempting to pay-off their Por$che with your teeth.

Every single filling she refilled came out within a couple of weeks. She told us we must have been eating sticky food or chewing on something hard. I also had root canal and needed a crown. She made a temporary crown which broke off within a couple of days. When the permanent crown arrived she did not try it on before cementing it on. Unfortunately for me the crown did not fit properly. She had to break it off with a jack hammer type tool which hurt like hell. Then the second crown she cemented on had a ledge and also did not fit properly. Food got stuck in the misfit area and evenutally rotted the remaining tooth. I ended up switching dentists and having to pay for another crown. Dr. Tucker does shoddy work and skimps on her materials. Stay away!
