Since we were with the tour,…read morewe only tried one item, so my review is strictly based on the Schmalznudel -- but it was delicious! It's basically a freshly fried, slightly sweet dough sprinkled with sugar. It was served warm and was light and crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Definitely one of the better things I tried on our food tour! The place itself is very small, but part of the experience is being able to watch them making and frying everything fresh right through the glass window. That was really neat to see, especially knowing ours had just been made. I can't speak to the other items they offer since we didn't try them, but I would absolutely stop back for another Schmalznudel. Simple, fresh, warm and really good!

Easily the best I've found in any European city (coming from an American latte culture perspective). Someone here clearly cares about getting the right roast, and isn't using the all too common burnt beans. Limited pastries, but all looked very good. Ambiance: Aside from the coffee, the ambiance is the other selling point. It's on the smaller side, but has comfortable seating for about 16-20 people. This would be a good place to work for a couple hours, but not for calls as the music is rather loud. Experience: Very friendly baristas, cool vibe, easy spot to get to. Highly recommend.

The quality of the coffee really stands out -- rich, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The only thing missing is a proper seating area. It would be wonderful if the second floor could eventually be opened or arranged to provide a comfortable space to sit, enjoy the coffee, and relax. Right now, it's more of a grab‑and‑go experience. One charming detail: from the outside, you can't immediately tell it's a coffee shop. The minimalist, almost industrial look fits the "Man vs. Machine" name perfectly -- it's unique, but it might surprise first‑time visitors. Overall, great coffee, great location, and lots of potential if more seating becomes available.
