***Editing to add, within 48 hours of me leaving this review, I was contacted and my car was fixed…read more ***After purchasing my car (within the first week) my drivers door malfunctioned. The door will lock. But once locked, it cannot be unlocked without crawling in from the passenger side and opening it physically. After that, the door can be opened and closed from the outside- until it is locked again. So basically, I can't lock my driver's door. I reported this to them within 48 hours. Within 72 hours, my back drivers side door started doing the same thing. After 5 days, the back passenger door cannot be opened or closed at ALL. It is permanently stuck in the closed postion. So you can only get in the backseat from the passenger side. THIS IS A 2017! NOT A 2010!!! I returned to car to them to be fixed within the first week. They kept it for days, with no communication. They had told me that I HAD to bring it during the first 7 days to have this handled on the house. After a few days of them having the car with no communication- I call for an update and they tell me that they can't find a shop with openings for the car. So they've just had it there, doing nothing, and didn't bother to tell me. Asked me if I wanted to come and get it back and they would call me when there was an availability. I said obviously. I go to pick it up, calling first to let them know I was on the way. I get there, and my car is allegedly there ( I never saw it, And they don't really have a garage to hide it in) but I can't have it yet. Keep in mind, I do not live in this city, I am a single mom and a widow. So I have to enlist family and friends every time I need a ride to their location. Anyway, I get there, and allegedly their repo guy is on a repo, with my keys in his pocket. Why? Why were my keys in his pocket? They couldn't tell me. Claimed he put them in his pocket by mistake. Keep in mind, my car had been dropped off there a few days before and nothing had been done to it. NOTHING. So why did he have my keys? They couldn't tell me. Myself and family waited for over an hour for this repo man to come back with my keys and suddenly my car appears. Fairly certain he had been causing in my car this whole time. I retrieve my car and leave. Weeks go by. I call for an update and they still "hadn't found a shop with openings". Weeks go by. Call again. They say "oh, let me call Hyundai and ask". Call me back, and tell me they need to have my car at Hyundai - like right now. So I drop everything (rally the troops to give me a ride after drop off) leave work and haul butt to Hyundai. Drop the car off. Next day I am called and informed they figured out the problem, and ordered the part ("even paid for expedited shipping" because they 'feel so terrible' ) and as SOON as the part comes in, they're going to get me back in to have it replaced. Said it would be around a week. This was OVER a month ago. I've called to check back and still have gotten no word on if / or when my car will be fixed. Did they offer me a credit towards a payment for the inconvenience? No. Did they offer any gas reimbursement for the NUMEROUS trips I have had to take to different cities over their incompetence? No. Have they offered ANYTHING to help alleviate the stress and financial strain this has had to put on me? No. I've missed wages leaving work to deal with this. I have wasted gas money (when gas is 4$/gallon), I have had to pay friends'/family's gas to follow me/drive me to these various locations. They have offered me no relief, no compensation, no communication and have yet to fix my car. I cannot lock my car when I go places, as it's a security risk to myself as a widowed single mother, having to climb in from the back seat or passenger side of my vehicle to unlock my drivers side door in a dark parking lot. I bought my car in June. It is September. The end of September. Still no plan of action. I haven't even listed all the times they have had me drop my car off at their shop/other shops and retrieve it with absolutely no work being done - I just listed the two times that caused the most inconvenience. I have held off leaving a review on the matter, trying to give them time to redeem themselves. However, after 3 months of this nonsense- I don't see that happening. I will update this review if anything changes. After 6 months, I will be reporting them to the BBB.
