Aspen Healthcare was the place that provided all of that. 60cc syringes, g-tube catheters, connectors, all the surgical dressings, right down to the petroleum jelly packets or isles paste. At the age of 8 years old. I could demonstrate how everything was used. I am no stranger as to how things are ran in the store. Yesterday, in some of the supplies that were needed, I needed some thing that was in a box. There was a price on the back of the box. All the boxes have prices on the boxes. With Individual prices or box prices. I just needed a few and I grabbed 6 out of the box. Every single thing that I bought yesterday, had to grab out of a box. Nothing out of the norm. There were 4 other customers in there aside from myself and my two daughters. Jim took over after the customer ahead of me was through. I was not greeted or asked if I found everything that I needed, we were just watched like we were going to steal something. Anyways, Jim started ringing me in and came to the iodine q-tips. He glanced at them and looked in the system for them and then told me that they weren't sold individually that they were sold as the entire box. I said, oh okay; I'll take the entire box then. He walked over to the box by a male customer and very rude and loud told me "dont go around digging in boxes." My daughter was immediately appalled at his tone and lack of discretion in front of other customers. It was like he was trying to embarrass me. I apologized and I let him do his thing, he came to the scalpels and he had to go grab the box for it. That's when I told one of my daughter's that I was going to say something. She immediately left. My other daughter remained. I asked Jim why he called me out for digging in boxes when that's how every item in the counter that I was buying was obtained.... he said well not the closed boxes. Just the ones with the tops cut off. Not true. The scalpels, gauze, adhesive dressings were in closed boxes and same with some of the 22g needles. Not sure if the treatment was because of the way that I was dressed because I had surgery two days ago and walking around with surgical drains hanging out of my body. Or the fact that we are indigenous First Nations. Either way, when I found out that Jim was the owner, I was even more taken back and disappointed. It was a simple mistake Jim. At 40 years old I didn't have to be called out like a child in front of your staff and other customers. Do better

When my dad called to have it fixed, the owner Jim was incredibly rude and even told my dad he was " messed up in the head". I don't know of anyone who would actually speak to their customers this way. Needless to say , we will never use this business again. It's shameful for the owner to speak to seniors that way. If I could give zero stars I would have.
