I swerved around the car to the pump to get gas. The driver came over and identified himself as the owner of this Shell station, named Frank. He was upset at me for honking. I explained that he had stopped and I was stuck in incoming traffic. He said that was no reason to honk at him. I asked him not to make it personal but I was concerned for my safety. He then started yelling at me, had his employees surround me, and capped it all off by calling me a "white, piece of shit." Nor does the attendant maintain a healthy environment by enforcing safety standards established by the CDC. While I was there, the only folks were anglos abiding by safety standards to combat covid while the other clientele appear ambilivelant.

I am a huge fan of gas stations that double as convenience stores. This is definitely one of the…read morenicer ones, equipped with a large selection of snacks, beverages, random items you otherwise would never think you needed and even a food vendor. I also didn't realize Gushers were still a thing! What really made me happy was they have Zapp's potato chips, which is not easy to come by unless you go to Potbelly or Wal-Mart if you're lucky. Gas was a little bit pricier compared to surrounding stations but not by a whole lot.

The friendly female cashier explains to me how and what I can redeem my points on. Now I know this speedway was just built or remodeled, but I didn't know Speedway now has a Speedy Cafe. The cashier gave me a coupon to try it, so I got a smoothie and a chicken bacon ranch panini. And guess what!? It was actually good! .....I'm very impressed!
