I often ride my motorcycle to Connecticut, since Rhode Island is so small and the condition of the roads pales in comparison to Connecticut. I've stopped here for drinks and gas either on my way out, or on my way home. They have Mobil gasoline, plus separate diesel and kerosene pumps on the left side of the store. There a decent selection of drinks and snacks, and the store seems pretty clean, well-stocked and well-organized. While there is a customer bathroom, it is actually a porta-potti outdoors, behind the building, so it's like roughing it for people who might be more sensitive to those sort of things (although it beats going in the woods). Be careful pulling out (especially if you're on a motorcycle), since it's at the top of a hill, cars travel pretty fast and you can only see so far out before a car pops over the crest of the hill. One time a few years ago - I will never forget - I was coming back from a motorcycle ride in Connecticut, where I had gotten caught in heavy rain. It was either dusk or dark, but anyway, I went inside to prepay for my gas. There was a customer ahead of me, but the cashier was extremely chatty with this customer, so much so that a puddle of water formed on the floor beneath me while I waited.

After about 2 hours around 7am the general manager Nate woke me up by repeatedly violently striking and banging on my vehicle and rocking my vehicle back and forth during a rain storm. After I told him to stop touching my vehicle he threatened to call the police and baselessly accused me of threatening him. Prior to this, I had always considered Love's travel stops to be a safe place to rest for short periods while on the road. I am appalled by Nate's behavior he very easily could have damaged my vehicle the way he was acting. Is this their policy now? Is this how they instruct their general managers to treat people and vehicles that park for short periods? Absolutely terrible.

In fact, I stopped here for a couple Red Bulls the other day after passing by the Cumberland Farms just up the road, because Cumby's parking lot was jam-packed. This location, at the corner of Cowesett and Coit avenues, is usually easy to get in and out of, and it is conveniently located for me. Given its small size, it's definitely not a full-service convenience store - just some basic snacks and drinks. It reminds me of an old-school gas station convenience store, like one I used to work in about 30 years ago when I was in college - not many of these left in an era of super-sized Cumbys. Although I have stopped at this location occasionally over the course of many years, I only just found out on my last visit that they have a public bathroom - I assumed the store was just too small to have a public bathroom, so I never bothered to look or ask for one. There is only one employee on duty here at any given time - that's all that is needed - and the employees who work there have always been polite. All in all, this is a good alternative if you are in a hurry and just want to grab some gas and/or basic snacks.
I LOVE THE CAR WASH!!…read more This place is like striking gold! I've driven "boxes" for years from Jeep Wagoneers to Subaru Foresters and no matter what car wash I've taken them to the brushes have never done a good job cleaning the back of the car. It isn't a problem at the ones that have crews who dry your car afterwards because they hand wipe the back clean. This automatic one makes the back look clean as a whistle and at just $5.00 for the basic wash it is one quarter the price or less than a staffed car wash. (Plus you don't have to leave a tip. :) ) If you've had the same problem with getting your vehicle totally clean pull into this Shell at the corner of Cowesett and Coit Avenues. You won't be sorry. :-) PS - It takes bills but not cards and doesn't make change so if you don't have the right change you can go in the store first and they'll give you a receipt with a code to put into the payment machine at the wash.

Had my 2020 Honda CRV in for a routine oil change. this is the "only" place that has opened the hood since I bought the car in the spring. after the last oil Change the next day less than 24 hours emission's light came on. light came on and off for about 2 weeks then remote starter wouldn't work and light stayed on. took it to the Honda dealership that i bought it from figuring it was covered under warranty. instead they found a pair of pliers with also a sharp cutter combo. clearly it was left in the engine from my last oil change from Advanced Automotive seeing they were the only ones who worked on the car and the warning lights came on the next day. the Pliers were cutting into the wires and needed to replace O2 sensor etc.. Had the Honda dealership fix it for around $380, labor, parts etc. went back to Bill At Advanced Automotive and he denied any responsibility. said it wasn't his tool and it was an electrical tool. no it's a pair of pliers with a wire cutter, pretty common tool covered in years of grease. continues to deny any responsibility. I asked him to check with his mechanic because it looks like he sits at his desk and wouldn't know if someone else left it there. he refused. wouldn't look me in the eyes and I don't really care about the money it's the principle and lying. this was the 3rd time I've had to bring my car back next day on 3 different cars. last time I spent $200 on a tow again next day after leaving his shop for over $3000 on PM services on my 2011 pilot. serpentine belt falls off. never had a problem with my 2011 pilot until the next day of $3k in PM service. his response was "well in hindsight I probably should of replaced the tension pulley". seriously after changing timing belt, flushing all fluid, valve job etc. again pilot was running perfectly fine just wanted to keep up on the PM at 150k.
