I'm SOOO glad I chose this race for Utah - I'm in the 50 Halfs/50 States boat.
*I did the Half Marathon portion.
Fun fact: When I signed up for this race, I was only a road runner. When I read the light warnings from the website, I got myself into trail running. Now... I LOVE running in the woods. I don't want to run on roads anymore, LOL. Thank you Moab Half for helping me discover my love for the trails.
The Website is very straight forward and you can find all information you need on there. I for some reason couldn't find something (but it was there, I just didn't click the right link) & emailed the RD. She responded back within 1 hour. Whoa, fastest response EVER!
- The course is BEAUTIFUL. I actually brought my GoPro and took like 50 mini videos. I literally wanted to record it all. On Youtube (HD): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7lPbF9UvDo
- The Start to Finish vibe is awesome.
- Aid Stations were legit. Thank you Volunteers!
- Fire Marshalls were awesome and so nice. Thank you!
- Packet Pick Up the day before/day of race was easy peasy (I ran the Saturday Half).
- The course had a few hills, but nothing too painful.
- Mile 11 was a creek full of cold cold cold water, BUT I do ice baths often after long runs... so I welcomed this, lol. But after 2 mins of being in it, my toes were frozen. Don't let this deter you! Running with others made it so much fun.
- I would take the shuttle to the Start Line unless... you want to get there super duper early.
- Amazing weather (this was obviously luck, but the weather was every runner's preferred weather). read more
