Great place to have a delicious Puerto Rican meal…read more Service was fast and efficient, no wait time when I arrived. Monday evening, holiday. Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

The food was mixed . - Alcapurrias : 5 stars crunchy, juicy, proper size and flavor. - pork chunks mofongo: 4 stars, great flavor. Huge pork portion. - shrimp mofongo creole sauce: 3 stars sauce was on the saltier side and once it reached the bottom of the mongo it was "just too much" - churrasco (kids): 3 stars. A bit overcooked (kid refused to eat it) but it was decent flavor and tenderness. - beans: 3 stars, too salty - white rice : 1 star, felt dry and grainy like day old rice from the fridge.

I cannot say enough about how incredible El Tamarindo café is. We walked here from our hotel on a…read morehot day before embarking on a cruise. We were looking for somewhere to get a very satisfying dinner at a slightly early bird time. We were the first people in the restaurant for dinner and we wondered if the empty place held any bearing on the quality of food. Let me tell you... This was one of the best meals I've ever had while traveling. We were shocked and amazed at the large portions and the incredible flavor. We try to eat high-protein, and that was no problem here. We kept telling the staff to give our compliments to the chef. We had a few drinks, we had a really great long meal, and as we were packing up, more people were flowing in. We had leftovers, but since we were traveling, we couldn't take them with us, so we decided to sit tight until we had finished as much as we could. Worth it!

The food is 4 stars but all these additional fees bring it to a 3 star. The food is good here! But…read moreI personally do find this place expensive. And it was very off putting to see that on the menu they had all these additional charges. It's +2$ after 3pm and then 2$ if you share food! That is ridiculous. I don't believe either of those are justified. Also if you get fajitas you only get 3 tortillas. Usually places are more generous with tortillas. Nonetheless , the food is solid. The chicken soup I got was very tasty and tasted very authentic. I also got the chicken sandwich with rice and beans. I opted for the breaded chicken. It was fried really evenly and the chicken was thin. I like that. The salsa on the side was vinegar based with big chunks of onion and peppers. I enjoyed that as well.

Amazing food, party atmosphere, great location in downtown Hollywood!…read more Great Food: This was my first experience having Dominican food and I am glad it was. The food was authentic and had EXCELLENT flavor! The presentation was also pleasantly surprising. - Steak Mofongo- Mofongo (Fried green plantain mashed) wrapped with tender steak and topped with a creamy garlic sauce. Out of this world. The flavors were authentic, robust, and the presentation was beautiful. You can tell they really enjoy cooking and plating their dishes. - Creamy Shrimp and Lobster Mofongo- Mofongo served with a creamy garlic shrimp and lobster sauce. This dish was bursting with flavor. The savory, creamy, garlic shrimp and lobster sauce was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed every bite. - Fried snapper- Whole Fried snapper served with tostones (Fried green plaintain). The fish was well seasoned, crunchy on the outside, and tender and flaky on the inside. Seating: -  Large restaurant with lots of tables, large bar, and a big dance floor. This place is definitely meant to be a party atmosphere. Since they are new to this location they are currently trying to pick up a vibe so it wasn't overly packed with people. The music is a mix of hip hop, reggaeton, dancehall, and soca. Fun atmosphere with great Latin and Caribbean vibes. Parking: - Street meter parking or there is a nearby parking garage. Staff: - Friendly and accomodating. The only downfall for me is that they do not speak English. If you do not have someone dining with you that speaks Spanish it is very hard to communicate your needs and order food. Nevertheless, they are very friendly and helpful. COVID 19 Regulations: - Some staff members wear masks. They clean and sanitize after each customer. Overall: - Great experience. Excellent food. Fun party vibes and great music. They definitely have my business.

This is our best cruise experience since 1991 due to 1) The Best Celebrity Showtime three days a week, plus many special late night fantastic stunt shows at ETEN arena and the Club, at 10:45 p.m., which made our time on the ship busy; 2) a better breakfast and lunch in Oceancafe in comparison to every mainstream cruise ship like Carnival, NCL, Royal Caribbean (except ICON OF THE SEAS), Holland America and Princess, but the dinner in the four main dining restaurants are average except enjoying baked Escargot and French soup daily. Many main dishes each night are not as great in comparison to Carnival Panorama's (I finished all tasteful & tender chop steak,, while biting only one at a main dining restaurant at Celebrity) we had boarded on 1/4/2025 as a 7-night Los Angeles round trip, but Carnival Panorama's lunch buffet is not good or at the bottom in comparison to all other cruise ships' by comparison. We went to a special restaurant named ETEN for a 7-course testing menu at $120 per person, and a $85 regular menu (2 appetizers and one main dish). My advice is to skip the tasting menu and select a $85 regular dining choice - select a lobster dish and two appetizers you like. All dishes do not give us a "wow" except one lobster dish and one crab dish (note: I tried the crab again next day, the taste is so so or totally different than the previous day...must be a different chef to cook - it is possible that the fresh crab inventory is low, so some flour might be added to mix with the crab...) Tip: If you like to drink an excellent cappucino, be sure to go to the CAFE AL BACIO - view one cappucino from the CAFE LA BACIO and the other from the RAW ON 5, a specialty dining restaurant, even though both were made at CAFE AL BACIO (the white cup & plate came from a restaurant), meaning a càppucino made for restaurant, a lower quality or a machine made only! We will definitely go with a Celebrity Edge-class cruise ship again because of many excellent evening shows - Celebrity Showtime is a world class, and very good buffet daily in Oceancafe.
