THAT wasn't happening with other contacts, whether on Facebook messenger or other. Fred responded quickly, viewed my photos and description of the problem, and worked us into his schedule. I'm SO relieved I found a reliable company...working on my next 'to do' list. Thanks Fred Delaney! Personally, I don't mind waiting--I understand one's busyness when it comes to their business. I DO mind no communication or a timely response to a query that asks for it in the first place. Just a polite note to other small businesses: If you have a FB page, webpage, or text ability...and you're too busy to keep up or respond to a potential customer who asks for help/info from your page, then may I suggest you hire someone to do it for you. Speaking as a potential customer, you're not only out money, you're out a good recommendation. First impressions mean a great deal. Even if you can't do it, you need to respond. Timely. All the time.

We had Alex bid on both concrete and deck repair or replacement. The deck price was competitive and…read moreallowed us to do what we really wanted - to stay with a deck instead of a less expensive concrete patio. The experience was positive in so many ways, but what stands out to me is Alex's professionalism (something sorely lacking in contractors today). He was the first (of six) to get back with me with his quote and walked us through our options with a video presentation. When he found that our joists had already been reused and were in sorry shape, he showed us his concerns and clearly proved to us that full replacement was the only real option. Then he made time to increase the scope of the project and finished in just a couple extra days. As many others have pointed out, he leaves the property in good shape at the end of the day and the project. He kept our deck footprint identical to the original deck so we didn't have to make any changes to our landscaping. Our deck appears to be sturdy, and I'm confident that the extra steps he took (like putting Teflon tape on the joists) will make this deck last for a couple of decades with reasonable maintenance and care. I'm excited to have Alex back to apply the stain and will update my review with the full "after" images.

The same areas have gotten worse and worse and Donnie is totally unresponsive to our repeated calls and pictures of the problems. He refuses to return our calls. These areas have gotten bigger and he has gotten totally silent. This was supposed to be a 'lifetime warranty'. If we were to have this repaired by someone else it would not match AND I am sure it would void our warranty. I cannot believe the 'great' reviews and how dissing someone who also shows pictures of what he won't answer for or repair tells me he has taken down the bad reviews. They ARE cheats. Here are our pictures recently. Sent to him. They keep getting bigger. We should not have to pay someone else for his shoddy work. How do I show pictures? I tried to paste them here and couldn't.

Shawn at Heavenly Home Improvements worked on a power outlet, weatherstripping and a door…read moreinstallation for us. On the small projects, he did an excellent job and was very thorough. On the door installation, he had to leave for a family emergency and I agreed to finish the job with some paint and caulk. However, another builder subsequently inspected the job and found that the framing required extra wood shims and I had to hire someone else to fix it. The prices were a bit higher than other handyman services. Overall, I think Heavenly Home Improvements is a decent choice for small projects but buyers may wish to compare hourly rates first.

The first coat in the stairwell did not cover well; original paint could be seen in several places…read more They came back to roll a second coat, but did not "cut in" along the edges. Once dry, this left a visible jagged border along the ceiling lines, corners, under the railing, and into the family room at the bottom of the stairs. Apparently, the original gallon and the new gallon weren't mixed together for this project, so the tints were slightly off. So, the original work wasn't satisfactory, and their recommended fix created an even bigger problem - all the while assuring me that everything would dry evenly and that I would be satisfied. And all that, by the way, after I pre-paid for the work to be done. Their solution to the whole debacle was to make excuses and charge more money. After dealing with the frustration, and a lack of communication and timeliness, I did not agree to the extra expense. In all fairness, he did offer a bit of a discount to make everything right. Shawn is a nice guy and a member of our community, which makes this experience - and this review - all the more disappointing. On the bright side, the hallway and the ceiling look great. We're grateful for that.

I was skeptical as they are the only contractors Lumber Liquidators refers to but I can understand why they maintain that referral relationship: SW Contractors are top notch. Our job was an involved one as we were ripping out tile and carpet throughout our downstairs and putting down hardwood in the kitchen, living, two closets, hallway, bathroom and entryway. Steve came to the house and was able to give a detailed (and pretty competitive) quote right then and there. We had some tight scheduling issues as I wanted the rest of the family out of the house for the install. Laura, the business/office manager, worked with me to get our project scheduled on exactly the days I needed. The crew of three arrived and immediately got to work. By mid-morning, they already had ALL the demo done! Jose, William and Eduardo were fast and meticulous - even taking extra (unexpected) steps to minimize the mess (which, if you've ever removed tile, you know there is a LOT of mess!) They hauled away all of their waste when they were done, too and even kept their work area neat between project days- something I didn't expect but really appreciated. I LOVE my new floor. We went with the taller baseboards as Steve recommended and the finished product is gorgeous, contemporary and SO clean! Laura was even helpful in getting some questions answered for me after the install was finished and emphasized that they would be more than happy to come take a look at anything should I have any concerns.
