She also drove all the way to Santa Clara for shooting at the spot we picked, which was very generous of her. There are a couple things that are critical for a photoshoot especially one involving a small puppy - comfort, ideas, familiarity and patience. Nupur is exceptional in all these aspects! She also has a great personality which helped us have fun during the shoot instead of 'posing' to get the right angle and expression. My husband is bit camera shy and our small dog is difficult to manage but when we saw the final photographs they were nothing short of magic. We had our pick of 7 amongst the numerous marvelous shots she captured, but she went ahead and provided us few extras which was an awesome gesture. Since the first moment I contacted her, she has been super tentative, responsive, and patient with all my questions and input. I wanted to try something new and different that I hadn't seen in her portfolio before and she was not only game but was extremely excited and kind about everything. Even before the shoot, we talked on the phone to discuss themes, we texted about different angles, lighting, mood, locations, and wardrobe. I have had many photo shoots (engagement, wedding, individual/family/professional portraits etc) with different photographers, and Nurpur is BY FAR the best in collaboration. We never felt like our ideas were sub par, in fact, every pose or photo that I had selected for inspiration, we actually worked to recreate each look in our own way! We basically fed off each other's creativity and ideas and turn a commercial event into stunning photographic art! She was never pushy and always listening to understand what we wanted and worked VERY hard to get us nothing short of perfection. She's so talented at capturing the types and kinds of photos we wanted that even the unedited, straight off the camera pictures with the silhouetted looks were near perfect! In that respect, Joel did a very good job. He photographed the newlyweds, the guests, and the performances thoroughly, and he worked quietly and unobtrusively throughout the evening. However, there were very few pictures of our family. I wished he had focused on getting more family pictures. The reason I am giving a 4-star review rather than 5 is due to a lack of clarity around post-processing. It was not communicated beforehand that the photos would be largely unedited. While the lighting was adjusted, many images ended up overexposed, and there were several distracting background elements--such as podiums, backpacks, and visible wires--that I had expected would be edited out. When I asked about this, I was told that additional editing would cost extra. There was also a lot of emphasis on a complimentary drone photo of the entire party, which unfortunately was not feasible since the event was indoors. I wish the focus had instead been on clearly explaining what level of editing was included and taking more family pictures. Overall, if you are looking for someone to efficiently cover an event and capture everyone present, Joel does a solid job. If you want more detailed editing or a specific finished look, I would strongly recommend clarifying those expectations in advance. I read many Yelp reviews before hiring him and did not see this mentioned, so I felt it was important to share.

Both photographers were very quick in providing the edited photos, and I have had a great experience both times. In 2018, my photographer was Ross, and right off the bat, he's good at communicating with me (especially since I had booked about three months in advanced). He was prompt and very professional. He was very good in balancing out candid and posed shots. Even though I was the birthday girl and had the most shots, he was really good with making sure every guest I had were represented enough in the photos (I had less than 20 guests). What I especially liked about Ross was there wasn't a lot of idle time, and he was really good with taking every opportunity and catching the right moments. In 2019, my photographer was Madeline. She was great as well, especially with balancing out candid with posed shots. Her photos were very well edited and she got to capture a lot of awesome moments! My only tiny complaint about her is that in comparison to Ross, she seemed to take a lot less photos and spent plenty of times just sitting there. For comparison, Ross gave me about 230 photos, while Madeline only gave about 170. Regardless, her photos were great, so I can't complain much haha. I will continue to use Eversnap in any events I host because it's super easy to use. I also like the flexibility of paying 50% of the price upfront, and 50% after the event.

We were really lucky to be able to book the studio and everything since the contract was signed was butter smooth, professional, 'dreamy' as my wife would call it - It was our BEST call during the wedding process and how fortunate we were to have them capture the most precious moments in our lives in a such pleasant, delicate way. During the preparation of our pre-wedding shooting, we were offered plenty options to shoot across the bay area. There was no rush in decision making and Ammy was so careful to discuss with us the theme of our pre-wed to match our ceremony as well as the stories of us getting together. We were discussing these details on daily basis ahead of the shooting and when we decided the two day itinerary, she went further to help us pick the outfit - I still remember the day when were ready for shooting, my hair was not really properly done and her team helped me redo my hair which is obviously not their duty. Ken drove us that day to highway 1 on day one and it was a whole day full of professional shooting and recording of great time - I almost felt like we are on a road trip full of romance and Ken was there to capture who we really are, with sincere emotions in the pictures so story-telling and loving. The film team was also there and even brought a drone to get some cinematic touch to the professionalism we enjoyed from the start. Right before the ceremony started, I didn't even notice but they were at all angles capturing everything. I was amazed how many awesome shots we got from the ceremony and every picture was so natural and full of the late August sunshine. In the catering session, our guests admired greatly on the pre-wed photos we presented in the hall and of course the pre-wed film that were magical. After the first meeting, we were hooked! Kenny and Ammy were very willing to meet with us for as long and often as needed to make us feel comfortable with what we wanted and what we were getting. Before our each shoot, they were willing to take the time to make sure we would be as well prepared and well dressed as possible. They are also very enthusiastic about their work, and their cheerfulness is infectious. The staff at VID studio are all very professional. They have all different kinds of cameras, stands, and photo/video accessory for every kind of shot. A city-wide video shoot with them will make you feel like you're filming a professional commercial or movie. Kenny, Ammy, and the rest of the crew are all perfectionists. They will do everything in their power to make every picture and every scene perfect, whether it be taking extra shots just in case the next one comes out even better, working extremely long days, or even extra days to get everything right. My wife is incredibly picky about photos and video, and they almost always managed to please her. If she wasn't 100% satisfied, they would do whatever it took to get her there. Of course that means that we also spent a LOT of time in front of the camera, but it was well worth it. Ammy does a wonderful job with makeup and hair. My wife can be extremely picky about this, but she always comes back from the mirror glowing after being prepped by Ammy. Kenny is a wonderful photographer who cares less about poses and more about what his clients are doing, what's happening around them, and how they interact with their surroundings. He's really great at using the settings of his shots to their full potential. Like Kenny, video director Shun is very flexible. While they always come up with a general script for shots, he's always looking to see how he can use what he has to make it the best it can be. The same can be said for the rest of the crew as well. We and everybody we know have been extremely happy and impressed with their results for our engagement photos/video and we can't wait to see how our wedding photos and video turned out!
