So I put my house on the market for sale a little over a month ago. The listing agent, among other…read morethings, arranged for a photographer she works with to take photos of the house that will be used for the MLS listing etc (Zillow Redfin etc). To make a long story short, after 35 days on the market my wife and I understood that this was the worst time to sell a house (July2022) with this horrible administration and Fed that are just destroying the US economy with a special focus on destroying the Real Estate market for regular folks like us. We took the house off the market after 35 days and posted it for rent. I decided to use the photos from the for-sale listing and posted them online (FB and CL).Less than 24 hours later, I got a note on my FB listing from someone by the name Eli Quezada, EQ productions, Real Estate Photography, Drones Brentwood, CA 94513 (a person I never heard off or from to that point), here's the full unedited exchange: *****************************************************************************************************************Eli Hi Dominik, is this still available? Eli Message sent Eli Hello @Dominik Suter I noticed your using my images that I have full copyright over Eli Eli Quezada Would you like to purchase them ? since your using them with out my consent Eli Eli Quezada And haven't paid to use them You sent Yes, it's available. Eli Yes Eli Unless you plan to pay to use them Eli Do you pay to use my photos ? Eli Eli Quezada Did you pay to use them ???  Or why would you use pictures that don't belong to you You sent There is no reason to be nasty, I asked a simple question. Eli I am asking you a question did you pay to use my pictures no one is being nasty Eli I see my images online marketing a rental property, I sold a 1 times usage fee to a realtor for the sell of a home ..... this is a rental Eli Eli Quezada And not the realtor who hired me You sent I will replace the photos you shot of my house with other photos. No big deal. I don't need nor want to pay for the photos you took of my house. Eli There for you are using my  images without my permission Eli Eli Quezada I'm sure you would not want to hang out your work for free, I appreciate it thank you You sent This is to inform you All mentioned photos are removed. Eli Eli Quezada Thank you so much ! **********************************************************************************************************Bottom line: Eli Quezada could have done a better job at communicating with a customer of one of her customers (the listing agent I worked with). Missing was an introduction of who she was, the purpose of the communication and generally a nice, polite and respectful. I find her communication to be an aggressive Cease and desist and unprofessional, and worst of all, damaging to the very clients who pay her: the listing agents, which should question themselves whether they should be doing business with this toxic photographer, calling on their customers making allegations and threats.

This company is seriously unprofessional and the quality of their work is substandard…read more I'm a homeowner that engaged F8 through my real estate agent to photograph my property. Originally they were scheduled for earlier in the day to photograph, but they needed to reschedule for later in the day. This was told to us on the day. That seemed fine, but between when they were supposed to originally arrive and when they actually did arrive, it began to rain. We called F8, asking to reschedule for the next day, so that we could get photographs of the front and backyard that didn't look soaked. The woman we spoke to was rude and kept repeating "we've got a business to run here", so we could not reschedule without paying $75. She assured us the photographs would be edited to look great. No surprise, the photographs do not look great. It looks like they just boosted the image saturation and replaced the cloudy sky with a blue sky. Ridiculous.

My business mentor urged me to get a new professional photo to use on my website and other places…read morewhere I wanted my work to get noticed. I had been using an old photo (with the advantage that I looked younger, but not really as I look today) and also a drawn self-portrait that I thought did the job. But my mentor said, "People really want to see you on your website. They want that personal connection." So I went to Yelp, and winnowed the options down to 6 or 7 photographers in my area who did portrait photography. I researched the sites of all of them, and ended up feeling like the Goldilocks story: this one was too expensive, that one did professional head shots that looked more formal than what I wanted for myself, or too polished. (I didn't want to look glossy, just authentically attractive.) When I got to BK Photographie, I was met by landscape photos - but they were beautiful! Really lovely, magnetic, sensitive. I didn't see portraits of people there, but I intuitively trusted that anyone who could do such beautiful landscape photos could do headshots of me that would make me happy to share publicly. When I saw that he would actually come to my home (the other places had external studios), and charged a flat fee I could afford, I contacted him right away. The shoot went really well. Brian is a friendly guy with extensive photo knowledge. He came with all his equipment, though he didn't turn out to need it all. He suggested indoor poses (in a chair, standing by my baby grand piano) and outdoor poses (by a tree for its purple flower, by a tree for its stippled bark). He took dozens and dozens of photos, to the point where I stopped being self-conscious. At the end, he told me he would take a bit of time to choose and edit the photos, and then send them to me as jpg files. That was fine with me. When they finally arrived in my inbox, I was really happy with what I saw. He had chosen just a handful (two handsful, actually), out of the many click-click-clicks going on at the shoot. This pleased me too. He had chosen well. I have now uploaded several jpgs onto my website to replace the drawn self-portrait - and I can see the difference. I look vivid, friendly, present - and around my age. No matter. The beauty is there, and Brian found it and documented it for me to use and share. I highly recommend BK Watson Photographie!
