Not impressed. Communication was severely lacking, client closet was limited, and was not overly impressed with the photos. I expected better editing with a "professional". Do not hire Alexyys. She is unprofessional, not trustworthy, manipulative, and lacking talent. I wish I had seen these reviews before I hired her for my family/newborn shoot because 10 years later and she's still messing with peoples money and their photos. I gave some negative feedback on the lighting of my photos and she said "then don't buy my photos" and stopped responding to me and blocked my number. That's when I realized I was dealing with a child!! She had also tried to squeeze more money out of me and raised the pricing on my photo gallery once I tried to purchase. Every review on here is absolutely true to her character and what I just recently experienced. I don't understand how she's in business. The way Alexyys treated me was absolute disrespect and it truly hurt my heart, tainting the memory of my newborn photos. Her pictures are beautiful but her professional is more then awful. I booked back on 01/27/2020 paid deposit of $50, 04/03/2020 paid $245 and I decided to up the package for my 2 daughters graduating pictures so on 04/06/2020 paid additional $100. Do to COVID-19 we had to wait, totally understood. 04/25/2020 I asked for my money back but she can keep the $50 deposit due to everything that was going on. I had one daughter out of state for school and the photographer couldn't respond to my emails, messages on her business FB or personal FB. I did call and text and oh boy, you would have thought I was breaking the law by calling and texting her. She stated in her contract it states no refunds, funny I never signed a contract. 05/01/2020 she re-opened her books so we scheduled and then it rained. Rescheduled again and then she had one thing after another and didn't have time for us but was posting photos of other families and graduation pictures. 02/28/2021 I message again requesting photos again 03/03/2021, 03/06/2021 and 03/10/2021 NO response. 05/14/2021, she finally responded asking what days and times are doable. We agreed to her next Sunday that was available which was 07/25/2021, then she stopped responding. 06/24, 6/30, 7/6, 7/10/2021 I sent messages asking to confirm 07/25th appointment time NO response. 07/23/2021 she sends me a message saying "Hi there! We will see you Sunday, do the girls want to stay in Brentwood?" Keep in mind the pictures are scheduled 2 days later. Take about last minute! By this time I'm so angry do to her being so flaky and unprofessional that I say "I have already started the process to get my money back from you do to you being unprofessional and leaving me hanging. I am know longer interested in working with you now or in the future." Her response... I am very sorry you feel that way. My apologies - REALLY!!! At this point I just want my money back and I'll see her in small claims court. read more

Alexyss has taken family photos of my boys and I for years now and I would use no one else but Alexyss. She has the utmost professionalism, and her work is AMAZING! My son even showed up in a non-picture worthy shirt, and she made it work! The pictures turned out perfect. I cannot wait to see what she does with my son's senior pictures in a couple of weeks. I've seen a few negative comments, and all I can assume is there must have been some kind of miscommunication or misunderstanding, that I know Alexyss would try to make right immediately. Booked a session a few months in advance for a November 1st , made a deposit. Originally I booked for a full session $395 and then I switched it to a petite session which was 295$ have proof of the message between us that it was okay and good to go. Day comes we meet at 5pm she said she uses day lights. Now I'm getting a petite session which isn't a 20 minute thing it's I believe when we get the photos we want. Her camera starts to malfunction and that took a about 10-15 mins to get it to work. We do a few poses and I told her about my daughters lip ( she had fell prior to the this (of course ) she said no worries but she dismisses it pretty quick. We did a few different poses and then she's like okay done. I felt like I was guiding her to do more photos on different ways. Also my mom was here visiting and she didn't take many of her which was very disappointing but I should've said something. Not even 30 minutes after she said I'm losing natural sum light I think we're done. I said oh okay. We started proceeding to the vehicles and I handed her the rest of the payment which was 240 and she said oh you did a full session and I told her no I didn't I cancel that and we did the petite session. She looked at her phone and said oh I have you done for a full session but it's okay whatever. ( she said I have enough photos for a full session which is 30 favorites. I said no we're good. I knew she didn't have a lot of good ones. I know cause I take photos. Her kids were in the car I felt like this was a reason why she had to leave but whatever. Then a week went by I sent her a message asking when I can expect the pictures she said 3 weeks. I said okay. Got the photos nice not tons to choose from but a good amount. Some cute some not so much. Then I notice my daughters chin was t edited. Now she didn't ask me about the chin. Which she should've or she should've remembered that I told her on the day of the pictures I wanted it and edit it but she clearly was occupied with her kids in the car. So when I got the photos I said can you edit the chin she said yes but another three weeks. Now I paid in full and now it's December and I wanted her to do a chin of a little girl not anything more. That takes 3 weeks I don't think so ! She clearly kept saying that had other clients ahead of me that she had to do and she couldn't put their adding in on hold because of mine I feel like that's bad customer service. Anyways we went back-and-forth she finally said that she submitted it to me three weeks later the re-edited photo but I didn't get an email. I asked her to show me proof of the email what she can get from her Google account or whatever account she uses the proof she won't show me it so I knew she didn't send it to me and she has done it right then and there. I contacted her I let her know that she was very unprofessional customer service and communication is horrible. She said that I was being not very nice which I'm not really too sure what I said that was bad. As you can see the other reviews on her business page is not very good I felt she was avoiding me she didn't want to give me what I paid for I would highly not recommend going to her she's not focus she brings her kids to the photo shoot, she doesn't direct you and she doesn't edit or at least ask you you're a professional photographer asked the client hey do you want me to edit anything no she didn't once again that was my fault I should've reminded her but I know what customer service is and I know what professionalism is and she doesn't have it I highly recommend not going to her look for someone that's local read more

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Alexyss Marie Photography. We have received zero photographs, or a refund, or almost any communication. Initially, when I inquired about the photo shoot, I received prompt and cheerful replies and information. After she had received my check, the communication thinned out. Although when I asked about where to meet for the photos, there was an unexpected additional fee needed to meet anywhere near us. At the photoshoot itself, Alexyss was very pleasant and easy to work with. That was the end of the positive experience. It is now 8 months later and we have received neither a single photo nor a refund, nor any explanation. I am only posting this review now because I am a very patient and understanding person, and for most of the past 8 months I gave her the benefit of the doubt, assuming her life and business were very busy. But her photography facebook page made it clear she was processing and posting photo shoots that took place long after mine. I never harrassed her, but sent her about 1 friendly inquiry per month via Facebook private message, asking for an update on timing. As months went by, I politiely suggested that if she did not have the time, that was understandable but that I would like a refund instead. I continued to receive no responses other than maybe one at the 3 month mark saying she was busy. My patience is actually pretty long, but today she "un-friended" me and blocked me from posting on her wall (which I did once out of desperation to receive a reply of some kind. I can only assume this means she is making is very clear there will be no more communication (not that there was any :-) ), no photos, no refund, no nothing. This is shockingly unprofessional. I feel no choice but to post around to my friends, family, and social groups to avoid this service provider. read more

I was really excited to find a local photographer that came highly recommended through a mommy group on Facebook. After looking through her work I was excited to reach out to her and ask more about her services for a maternity session. She was very quick to respond and seemed like she was going to be easy to work with. She was open to the types of poses I wanted to have done and giving feedback on outfits. I paid the deposit to hold our date but that was where the communication stopped. I reached out a few more times after booking to confirm location and time and potentialweather concerns. I had to send several messages just to get a response. I also changed my session from a full session to petite. After the session was over we were still asked to pay the full session price. I went ahead and paid it without question because my toddler had been quite difficult that day and she had taken quite a few pictures. However, it took over 6 weeks to get the photos back when we were told 3 weeks and I was less than pleased. She clearly noticed that some adjustments needed to be made with our attire/hair due to the wind and never mentioned anything during the shoot. She also was not willing to make some edits to a few of the photos. I had asked for her to touch up some stray hairs in a few photos 4 times and still to this date have not recieved the touched up photos. The communication and follow through were not on point. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a photographer so you don't experience the same thing we did. Obviously I can't go back and retake these photos as I have already had the baby. But I am sure glad that I learned my lesson before having her also take newborn photos. Next time I will trust my gut and walk away from the deposit at the first sign of communication issues. read more

We booked for maternity photos and she rescheduled the night before which was ok but then 3 weeks after the shoot she told us her camera memory card crashed and we had to re do the photos. She offered a free newborn shoot to make up for the inconvenience. Well she was supposed to come the weekend we got home from hospital and never responded to texts or messages. She responded like 2 weeks later and we tried to reschedule again but she again didn't respond to multiple messages!! So unprofessional and rude. We turned down the hospital photos because we were counting on her to come. My child goes to All Gods Children in Discovery Bay and they decided to use Alexyss for their school pictures, a nightmare is an understatement. First, her form was a disaster, it was poor a layout. There was an issue, it was resolved with me paying more. Fine, it is what it is. It took 4 months for the school to receive the pictures. I never received ours....ok not a big deal accidents happen. I emailed her about it and then she accused me of downloading my child's photos, without any follow up questions. The photos were not downloaded. So she said ok, I will order your package and let you know when it is in. 3 weeks later I have not heard from her so I emailed her to check in to see the status and she told me she mailed them to my house. Hmmm, that is interesting because she does not have my address. I asked her what address she sent it to knowing that she does not have my address.....Ghosted. No response back. I sent 2-3 emails that week. She never responded. I waited for 2 more weeks and sent another email, then she said she sent them to the school. That was about 3 weeks ago. I have requested that she just refund my money but she has now completely ignored my emails. The school has not had any luck in reaching out to her either. So I have no pictures and out the money and my child's pre-K photos. Go spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of wonderful photographers out there. Also the review from Justin K. That is her friend, they are friends on yelp and on Facebook so I would not trust that review. Find a professional photographer who knows how to take pictures and act professionally. First I booked her for a 1 year old photo session and everything was going well until she lost my photographs I had also paid her extra to order prints for me which she obviously never dis in a timely manner since if she had my photos wouldn't have been completely lost.She then tried to make it up by offering another session and said she would replace prints from my old session and I purchased a USB so that she would secure my images this was December 2018 up to this date she has not given me any prints nor has she given back my USB with my photographs I have tried to contact her multiple times and she just keeps avoiding me. A group of friends and I got together with this photographer to get some group photos of all of us and our children, and also individual family photos. We agreed on a price based on the number of pictures we were told we'd be getting. The day we were photographed, the photographer was very nice and friendly, and she got along great with everyone. She had some of her own ideas, but was not opposed to trying any of ours as well. So, that part of it, was actually pleasant. The problem came later, when we saw the pictures. There were some that were blurry, some with light spots on people's faces, some where kids were cut off the edge of the photo, and lots and lots of photos missing that we'd remembered taking. So after being told I would have 50 shots of my child and me, I got 3, and none of them were usable for anything. The other people in my group all had the same issue. Also, we told her that we wanted pictures in color and most of them were in sepia or black and white. When we brought the issue to her attention, she told us that the other pictures weren't there because they didn't turn out. She refused to give us a refund because she had already sent us the images via email (except she never sent the release form giving us permission to print them, so we just have a bunch of blurry pictures on our computers), and she refused to let us see any images that she did not choose for us, even though during the session, we asked for some of our own ideas and were under the impression that she was professional and that more than half of them would "turn out". It's been nothing but bad customer service since then. I wasn't going to write a review. I was just going to let it go and accept this as a lesson learned, but I feel bad for all those future clients that might think they are getting a good deal for a wedding, baptism, birthday party or reunion, because you can't just call do-over for things like that. If you have any idea what a good quality photo looks like, then beware. I'm going to go take my own photos of my children...I've had much more success with that. read more

Anyone who is reading this PLEASE do not hire Alexyss. I messaged her asking if she covers San Ramon area and she responded yes she does including Danville. We scheduled for a mini-session months in advance for October 7th. I gave her a down deposit of $40. I contacted her as we got close to the date and she said that we have to cancel and wanted to reschedule due to the fact that 7PM is too dark. Not sure how a photographer doesn't know that at 7PM in October is dark. We rescheduled for October 14th at 5PM. The day before the photo session I contacted Alexyss since I had not heard from her at all. I called her three times and and her voicemail was full. I also send her two messages via messenger. She finally contacted me at 9:30PM the night before of our session stating that our mini-session will be in the city of Brentwood. I asked her why Brentwood since that was my first question to her before I hired her and she explained that I should've known that all mini-sessions are at photographers choice of location and the only way she will drive to San Ramon is if I want a full-session. I told her that since this information was never disclosed to me if she can give me my deposit back and I will find another photographer in my area and Alexyss refused to reimbursed me the deposit. This is a total scam. I did not cancel or change any dates on her and she still refuse to reimburse me the deposit. Hired Alexyss Marie to shoot my baby's 1st birthday on June 1 2013, it is August 3rd and I have not even seen one pic. She originally told me they would be done in 2 weeks. She got hurt moving, I understand that sometimes things happen, that added 2 weeks. Was supposed to pick them up on 7/13, she made a mistake and couldn't see me as she had booked another appointment at same time, so she said she would drop them off that evening, she did not! It has now been an additonal 5 weeeks and no pics. I have contacted her repeatedly only to be told things like she busy, working, injured,and throwing an anniversary party, she seems to have been doing everything but my pics. I have not even picked the images that I wanted edited but yet I've been told that she mailed them on Sunday, almost a week ago. Yesterday she told me it would take about an hour and she would have them up and ready for me to download, still no images. I'm beginning to think I might not even have any images! I messaged her this morning and her reply was I got all your messages, nothing more. What a rude thing to say with no explaination of where my pics are, she acts like I'm bothering her by asking for my pics after 9 weeks. I want my pictures! read more
