When you paint…read moreyou also paint the trim around the windows installed on a door, requiring blue masking tape and time. He did not paint the windows trim, just the door(s) up to the trim. Sloppy, shoddy, and unprofessional. Similarly, he got paint on the tabby coating on both sides of the front door, and left paint missing from around the dead bolt. Then came the pocket doors fiasco. I approach this by stating what should have happened. First you inspect and remove one lock and see if it can be repaired and learn what fault exists, potentially precluding excess labor and time. Instead he went to Lowe's to obtain replacement locks, both of which he stated were seriously lacking substance. Yet, he elected to spend two hours boring out new frame openings to allow these new locks to be used. The only way to use the outer door lock is to engage it fully before shutting the door, a quirk, but it worked. The inner master bath lock was another matter. Hours after he left I used the toilet room and engaged that lock, the one never shown while he was present; it was wobbly, made a clicking sound when closing the door, was cheaply made, but it locked. When I tried to open it, it took me four minutes to open the door. I informed him this was unacceptable and these need to be replaced. I ordered replacement locks from Amazon, and kept his apprised of their arrival, so he could repair his mistakes. This never happened. He has no intention of fixing my doors after screwing up the framing. Thus, keep him away from painting doors and repairing locks on pocket doors.

Roofers recommended an application called Gaco after pressure washing my roof and uprooting the…read moreshingle tacks. Not the repair promised for $4300.00 of an $8,000 quote. After the first payment, they abandoned the job site and attempted to sell an application best for flat roofs, not 45-degree elevated slanted roofs. Conversation with product rep. said Gaco wasn't designed for slanted shingle roofs. Further, CRR refused to provide a $500 receipt for the product. (Never purchased, I refused to let them apply it. Another scam attempt.) Not a repair job, reshingled a 10 x 12 portion, but ignored the other largely wind damaged areas, repeated leaks, and avoided the worst part of the roof repairs where tree limbs had punctured the roof. I had to bring in another roofer who took photos for me, showing they totally ignored the worst part of the roof. This company misrepresented the work promised. This has caused repeated damage to walls and floors due to roof leaks. The elderly owner is being misrepresented and has done a disservice to himself, his company and his subs.

He came back out and claimed the outage was not related to his work and charged me another $175. Five. Days later, when I arrived back in town I plugged my RV into the 30 AMP and there was no power. I texted him and he instructed me to open the power box and turn on the circuit breaker. I did and my surge protector tripped preventing damage to my RV electrical system. He said several times he would come out with a new box and never showed. When I texted him again he said he does not know me and the installation was done correctly, which it wasn't.
