Getting acne problems in your adult years can be incredibly frustrating...I tried changing skin care products to more expensive brands that were supposed to be better for you, I tried dermatoligists, I tried changing my diet. My acne problems have been so persistent for 6+ months now! Finally, after days of looking for reviews on dermatoligists, I stumbled across Marianne's yelp page. I've had facials done before and aside from a 1 day glowy and dewy look...I never felt like facials made much a difference for me (leisure or otherwise). Everything started to look like a waste of money, but I thought I'd give Marianne's studio a chance because the reviews made it seem like her work was not the typical facial. So why not? Man oh man, I am SO thankful to have met Marianne! My skin didn't clear up over night (is that even possible?) but I definitely saw improvement just after the first session. I went in for a 2nd session today about 2 weeks after my first session and my skin is slowly but surely finally seeing positive changes!! Marianne is vocal on improving your skin from the inside out so she gives me tips on small things I can adjust in my diet to help the process too...I am so happy that I am finally seeing results that work after trying all the other stuff that just sucked up my money. And know that this is not some prissy pampering spa...it's the real deal if you care about healthy skin and not just surface stuff. I just got my first IDERM Galvanic facial from Marianne and it was great! She is thorough, informative, and very passionate about her work. My skin is so soft and clean now I can't wait to go back for my next treatment. My acne has significantly reduced (my skin is looking even better the next day) and I left the studio with a fresh and glowing face. I do have scarring that I would like to diminish and that is a longer process so I can't speak to the long term results just yet. I will be coming back and in a couple months I'd like to follow up on this and see! If there were no stars, I'd give no stars. So, I've recently received a facial from mk studios. Worst decision. I will say that my skin looks youthful. I feel like I'm in Junior High again. My whole forehead is covered in sore bumps that were NOT there before I received the facial. Not is my face red, sore, blotchy and I'm aggravated. I've read a lot of reviews here that call the facial "no fluff." What a kind euphemism. The facial itself is not calming, it's abrasive. You're often left in the room alone with uncomfortable wrappings on your face for more than twenty minutes at a time while you listen to bad radio music. I'd be willing to sit through that discomfort if it'd been somehow beneficial for my skin. But lo, I haven't been able to leave the house without caking makeup on my face. Not fun. So, if you're thinking of getting a facial and you have even slightly acne-prone skin, this is not the place for you. read more

I've been going to Marianne for the past six years. I followed her from Face Place to Face to Face to her own place. I do not live anywhere near her but I drive far because I will not allow anyone else to touch my face but her. I'm loyal because she's that good. She really cares about my face. She hates black heads and whiteheads and is passionate about destroying them and restoring some health and vitality to my skin. I use a lot of her products and find them to be totally reasonably priced compared to the other name brand stuff I use. Marianne gives the best facials. I love her IDERM facials and sometimes when my skin requires some extra attention, I get the powder add-on. Her extractions are quick and precise and I simply do not trust anyone else with my skin. I waited to write this review because I wanted to get a few treatments since it really does take time to see changes to your skin, at least in my opinion. It's been a little over 2 months now that I've been going to Marianne and I am starting to fall in love with my skin again. It's a horrible feeling to not feel as beautiful without make up. I am AMAZED. Marianne is a genius. Here's my story. Around March of this year - I got a sudden onset of acne on my neck. I'm in my late thirties! I was scrambling to fix it - painful both physically and emotionally. The dermatologist prescribed a heavy duty antibiotic for 30 days - not my style!! My dear friend recc. I see Marianne for a facial right away. Marianne's facial saved the day! She paired back my products to a cleanser of hers, a spray and a moisturizer. All green and clean. No more fruit acids, exfoliators, etc. After two facials (and a "quick pick" in between -my neck is almost completely healed and the breakouts have stopped.
