Since this would be the first time I was getting my hair done in PA, I really had no idea where to go. I turned to the handy-dandy Yelp app for some assistance. Many of the hair salons listed were located in downtown SC. Though several of the salons had decent reviews, they appeared to be on the pricier side. In addition, I did not want to drive 15-20 minutes and have to hunt for parking. Shear Spirit was one of few hair salons listed in my area. Unfortunately, there were no Yelp reviews, so I decided to do some detective work on the interweb aka Google. Voila! I found what I was looking for. 4.9 stars? Impossible! ...or was it? To know for sure, I'd have to check this place out... At 9:00 a.m., I was the first customer of the day. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the owner and hair stylist, Barb. The salon had a chic, rustic feel to it. Although my hair had grown out a good amount, it was barely shoulder length. I didn't exactly know how I wanted my hair cut. The only thing I knew for sure is my hair really needed to be tamed. Barb's affable demeanor helped me to immediately feel at ease. I was extremely pleased with my haircut. After years and years of going to other salons and paying a lot of money for haircuts that were usually choppy, uneven and more often than not, EMBARRASSING my boys decided to let theirs hair grow. After about 2 years I finally convinced my boys to give one more salon a chance. We planned on just getting their hair trimmed. However I missed my boys having their short hair that was parted on the side and neither one of them wanted to let their hair to be like that again because they didn't trust anyone to not mess up. I took them to Susie and she was able to help encourage them to go shorter. She literally cut their hair in one style little by little and ask them " this look okay? Or do you want to go shorter? " Finally when she thought she was done with my youngest hair she asked him one last time if it was okay and he actually asked her to cut off just a little more and the boys weren't just pleased with their hair, they were literal EXCITED for other people to see them! Everyone loved it! I took my youngest back a couple months later and she did an incredible job again and I have not ever had a stylist be able to please me and my children every time. So I totally hope everyone reads this and I'm sorry that it is very long LOL but I can just not say enough about why everyone should go to Susie! *Her prices are super good and she listens to her customers... even the little ones*
