Apparently this place got selected as the best sushi in Istanbul, which really goes to show you how low the standards are here. Neither me not the people I went with were impressed. Apart from the sushi really being targeted towards the European taste palate, the sushi was bland, not the ingredients, but the rice, which is the most important part of making a sushi. And that's the problem really, either the rice is too crumbly, too sticky, too salty, or too bland. I've yet to eat good sushi in Istanbul.
But sushi wasn't the worst part, it was the noodle. We ordered chicken noodle, apart from it too tasting nothing special, we got a very small cup of noodle with 5 pieces of chicken, I sent it back. Instead of bringing a new dish, they just brought it with a couple pieces added.
One thing to add, they don't have sushi menus so if you want to try a variety, you're out of luck.
To sum up, the execution is mediocre. The food, the service, the ambiance. It wasn't a dining experience I'm gonna miss. read more
