Mitch contacted us after we put out a request for handymen. He stated his rate was $50 an hour and $35 if we needed an in house estimate. We asked him if he could get the parts we needed and he said it would be cheaper if we had them on hand. So we ordered them and had them sent to the property. Mitch arrived at approximately 8am to do the work as agreed upon and by approximately 9:40am the tenant contacted me that he was done. Mitch sent a message that the total was $150, I asked for an invoice to which he stated he doesn't provide. I think asked for him to break down the cost for me to which he replied every item was $25 when we had agreed to an hourly rate. I asked the tenant how long Mitch had been on site and he said no more than an hour and a half. I again questioned Mitch to which he began to insult me telling me he charges travel time, however that was never included or mentioned in his quote nor did he provide proof of travel time. He finally agreed to $100 for 2 hours of work which was still over the time but we agreed and paid. Once we confirmed payment he said we still owed him $50 and continued to insult us.
