Moved to N Ft Myers in March '21; my brakes went out. I'm caregiver to my husband. I called at least 19 places who gave me 2-3 weeks out. Finally contacted Rob at Mitch's Firestone on Pine Island in Cape Coral. He was and is wonderful (the whole group is). He got my car in that same day. Friday I got the Oil changed - very reasonable and honest. He advised me that I would need more work done (2005 Toyota), but it's not crucial and I will know when to bring it back. Very nice people, no complaints on that end. However, 1600$ worth of front end work done, from tie rods, bearings, ball joints etc and bolts were loose and control arms weren't adjusted right. Took it to two other different shops and they said the work that was done was very half ass. They said they ran the alignment 3 times and it was pulling harder than it did before. I'm not one to usually write bad reviews, but they sent me out of the shop with a promised "perfect" front end which needs even more work than before. read more

Went in because oil pressure gauge had dropped to nothing. They ID'd a leak in the front crankshaft seal which I had them replace. After paying, I started truck and oil pressure was still bottomed out. Told them and was told that it had to be the sending unit and they ordered a new one and told me 2.5hrs for replacement. I questioned the instrument cluster or sending unit and was told they would speak with the mechanic as to which needed repair. That was a week ago and still haven't heard back. read more

I needed new tires for my RV, but couldn't find a shop who carried the tire I was looking for, and was trying to go up a load rating for added safety. I called Mitch's Firestone and they took the time to call their vendors and locate the less common tire size I needed within a couple of hours. They scheduled an appointment for the next morning for installation, and were ready when I arrived. The staff is friendly and efficient. The tires they located for my Coachman 17fq camper work great and tow more smoothly than the previous tires, at a very competitive price. Took my car to Mitch's after hearing several solid reviews and boy was I happy I did. My car was shaking pretty bad when I pressed the accelerator over 45mph. They told me I needed a completely new rack and pinion, tire rods, etc. I quoted it out and they were the best value in town! I went to pick up my car the next day and they said that I needed something else, but instead of nickel and diming me they said they took care of that for me too! Wonderful job guys! Needed 4 tires for my Durango, so I gave them a try. Mitch is independent, not a Firestone corporate store, so he can get you tires from any company. They told me the tires would be there in two hours, so I grabbed lunch and when I went back they were ready for me. The tires were installed very fast! I also asked for an alignment, and he said they checked and my alignment was fine so they didn't charge me! They also do free tire rotations, so he said to bring my truck back in 7000 miles, which I will. Price was comparable to the mail order tire shops if you include shipping, so I feel value was exceptional! They just moved into bigger digs behind their old shop, nice waiting room with TV. read more

I will start out by saying that I had recently moved to the Cape Coral and had no idea where to take my many mechanical needs to. I had initially found a competitor with more reviews and when I went to drop it off they were not open on Saturday.So these guys were initially my second choice. I got off to a little bit of a rough start when I brought them a car with a unique situation where everything was electronic and was difficult to gain entry into the car (2007 corvette) after we got past that i was given a price on two tires that was only 5% more than what I could find online at tirerack.com. Although Im somewhat frugal convenience is equally important to me as well so I gave them permission to proceed. I believed I had additional suspension issues and they could have easily told me something that was not true to build a larger ticket and did not! WOW an honest mechanic! I thought those had become extinct! After repairing my car at a modest/competitive rate I felt very comfortable taking additional vehicles there (I own 5). First my suburban for a bad a/c low pressure switch (again a small item that they could have built a very large ticket on) and a window motor and received a very small bill SCORE!!! I'm ecstatic at this point knowing they are trustworthy! Finally I take my wifes newer scion in for brakes (only 60k miles) and I get the dreaded phone call that the rotors will need to be replaced! Errrrgggghhh! I become upset that my wife could continue to drive knowing the brakes were bad causing me to have to replace the rotors! the reassuring voice on the other side informed me it will only be 205.00 for all the work with new rotors! I LOVE THIS SHOP! This is an honest to goodness repair shop that does not constantly try to upsell you additional unnecessary tasks. I could not say enough good things about this place. If I could give them anything to improve upon it would be to have a little cleaner office in which to settle transactions, but truthfully it seems the cleaner the offices of mechanics shops the higher prices they demand so I am very comfortable continuing to do business with them! read more

This is an ok place to get your oil changed. Waited longer than I thought I should have to be, and I was told it took a bit for my filters to be delivered to him so they could continue. Others who came in after me were ready before mine was, but told they had to wait on my filters. On vacation at our place in the Cape when on the first day we arrived my front caliper got hung up on our Jeep. So much so the rotor was glowing orange. Good thing the Jeep didn't burn to the ground. Anyway, not knowing any reliable repair shops in the area I turned to Yelp and Google for reviews. Mitch's came highly rated so I drove over to get the repairs done this morning. I've done this job several times on my vehicles and generally do all of my own repairs but of course I don't have any tools down here. As I pulled into Mitch's of course the caliper wasn't hanging up, no smell of burnt brakes, nothing. One of the mechanics came out and told me the caliper looked good and wasn't an issue but I was about due for brakes, which I knew. I assured him it was hanging up big time last night and asked him just to change out both calipers, rotors and both sets of pads. All was done without drama in a very time efficient manner and at a more then fair price. As I previously mentioned I've done this repair a few times in the past myself on this vehicle as well as a few others and know the price of the parts and the time involved. granddaughter {19} brought car for alignement wheels were shaking they said they aligned them charged her car was still shaking I brought car less then 24 hours later !! to 2 not one other shop both concluded could not possibly have aligned because the lower a frame bushings on BOTH sides were ROTTED AWAY ! Car needed bushings and then a proper alignement could be done!!! Called them back and they said it had the bushings in it when they aligned it 22 hours ago and they must have rotted in that time .They wanted us to bring the car back !!
