Unless you can afford to pay upfront when they try to double-dip from both you and your insurance…read moreby incorrectly upcoding your procedure, go elsewhere! My surgery isn't until 11/3, but their billing department has been a nightmare. I'm seriously considering canceling and changing providers. Prior to choosing a surgeon for my bilateral salpingectomy, I made sure my BCBSTX insurance covered it, which they do at 100% with no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible because it is classified as "female sterilization" and paid out as "ACA preventive" if properly coded with in-network providers. I rechecked this with BCBSTX every step of the way multiple times. I then received an estimate from Stony Point on 10/17 asking me to pay almost $3K (my deductible + 20% coinsurance) upfront. I immediately called to ask what was going on. I was directed to call Teneille in billing, which I did the same day. I was sent to her voicemail where I left my name, number, and a brief explanation. After that, I reconfirmed benefits with BCBSTX. I never received a callback from Teneille. I called on 10/24 and got through to Teneille. I attempted to explain the issue, but felt completely dismissed. I was told they'd contact BCBSTX before being hung up on. I called BCBSTX to reconfirm my benefits yet again and ask for advice on how to proceed. BCBSTX told me to advise Stony Point that when they call the Provider Line to give them both the CPT and ICD-10 codes and to make sure it is coded as "female sterilization" rather than "general surgery." BCBSTX also gave me a reference number for my call and said that Stony Point could give the Provider Line that number and have all the info about my benefits pulled up that way to reduce any confusion. So, I called Stony Point back to advise them of this. While attempting to explain this and give them my reference number, Stony Point told me they had just called the Provider Line, received a different answer, and that their estimate was still correct. They gave me a reference number they'd been given and told me I'd have to call the Provider Line to get a correct answer about my benefits. At this point, Stony Point was closing for the day. The next morning (10/25), I called BCBSTX again to reconfirm my benefits and was connected with a Patient Advocate named Lee. She reconfirmed that I am 100% covered with no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible for the surgeon, facility, and anesthesia bills for this procedure with my providers. She could see from the documentation from Stony Point's previous call with the Provider Line that they had done it incorrectly. Stony Point was not making sure it was being properly coded as "female sterilization" instead of "general surgery." She also told me it was wrong for Stony Point to say I needed to contact the Provider Line to get the correct answer about my benefits since that isn't possible for me to do as a patient. Lee then called both Virginia Women's Center (my surgeon's office) and Stony Point Surgery Center billing departments, while I was on hold. She spoke with Cheryl (?) at Stony Point and broke down exactly what the issue was, why they received an incorrect answer previously, how to correct it, and explained that I am covered 100% and owe no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible. Lee also had Stony Point speak with their Provider Line to confirm my benefits and proper coding through them as well. Lee documented everything and gave me the reference numbers for both the call with her and Stony Point's call with the Provider Line. She also suggested that I consider changing providers since she'd never experienced this level of stubbornness previously and that she was concerned they would continue to try to improperly code this. As of 10/26, Stony Point is still clinging to their improperly coded estimate and demanding my payment upfront. I'm planning to give them a call tomorrow in one last attempt to sort this out, but I decided to write this review as a warning to others now because no one should have to experience this.

I can't say enough warm sentiments about Dr. Biggs and his darling wife, Gillian. Dr. Biggs is professional, yet personable. He gives you a thorough, informative consultation. Gillian is so pleasant and sweet. She treats the patients like she would want to be treated, and I feel like I'm more of a friend than a patient. I would highly recommend Allison Breast Center to anyone! I look forward to my visits there! I was in and out of the office in under half hour! Whew! I'm glad I got that off my chest!!

Firstly, she was…read moreadmitted to an Oncology/Med Surg Unit for heart issues and did not receive a telemetry box for at least 18 hours. The nursing / hospitalist care was horrific. She received too much IV Lasix by day-3 and was weak, shaky, and severely dehydrated. Nurses were instructed by the cardiologist to give all her meds before her Cardioversion and she didn't receive any (including her blood thinner). Also, when one of her blood thinner pills fell to the floor, the male nurse told her she could skip it for the day. She was left alone in her room at the end of the hall with the door closed tightly when she became disoriented, agitated, and confused. One morning, her 9am pills were still sitting on her table at 12:30pm bc the nurse didn't make sure she took them (when she was confused). When the "nurse" was confronted about her untaken meds and the door being closed, she put her hand in my face and walked away stating she was "going to give me a minute". She had to use the call button repeatedly to ask for help reaching her food tray, only to be ignored, and finally received help when the hospitalist came in her room. She did not receive any hygiene or oral care unless I asked for clean sheets, washcloths, and towels, and then I did the care for her - not the employees. Apparently, hygiene and oral care is no longer a routine part of nursing care and patients can go days without it, unless they have an advocate to facilitate it. Every day she was a patient at HDH she became weaker and had more issues. Finally, there was a huge cockroach in her bathroom that I smashed with my shoe. The nurse manager argued that it was a water bug...it was NOT. This is actually the second time I've seen a cockroach in this hospital. I have vowed to never return to this God-awful facility and have asked my family (and you) to go somewhere else if they want to live. For a previous ER Visit for my 92 year old mother with CHF and shortness of breath (on 12/16/25), the ER physician told us that "her case really isn't an emergency because the ER is for traumas, gun shot wounds, and heart attacks", but he proceeded to give her IV Lasix and admit her for CHF. Ugh...really? His personality was not suited for emergency medicine.

UNPROFESSIONAL to the highest extent. Please proceed with caution. I had a clear HIPPA violation with a L&D nurse speaking about my birth experience, medical procedures, what I was talking about and saying while being rushed to an OR (it was traumatic btw) to people she knew outside of the hospital I do not know this nurse but she knew friends of my Husbands apparently, obviously I did not appreciate this, you should feel safe and protected in a hospital much less while GIVING BIRTH. When I called to talk to the lead L&D nurse explaining what happened she made very interesting comments asking what I "wanted out of this" and saying things like she "didn't know if it was a clear HIPPA violation" essentially trying to gaslight me when all I wanted was for her to be spoken to and an apology. In hind sight I should have just contacted the board and had this placed fined like they deserved. Be careful mommas.

He was supposed to ALSO get a subscription for malaria pills, to be called into our pharmacy. Not only was this not done, and we had to call several times to get the RX, but the WRONG AMOUNT of pills was called in. He only got enough for two weeks, when his trip is for 3 months (clearly recorded on the paperwork). Long story short, we spent several days of trying to get someone at PassportHealth to call in more pills; we left many messages and actually talked to someone a couple of times on the phone, as did our pharmacist. The prescription was NEVER called in. My son had to leave without the proper amount and he will have to try to remedy this on his own in a foreign country. The clinic itself didn't seem to be staffed--there was only a nurse who arrived late to the office for our appointment. Check out the place before you decide to go.
