All of the instructors are very knowable of the MACAR method and detailed (which I like). This training is wonderful, it makes me wish that I could of had the training sooner to help the children in my classroom who are at risk. The Shelton school helps children who have learning-differenterences. Including dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), speech and language disorders. While I observed in the classrooms, I saw incredible teachers and students. The classroom sizes are small and the teacher to student ratio is 8 to 1 (at the most). The children are very respectful to their peers, teachers, work, and the environment. I will definitely want to come back for more training.

The school is clean, with a hint of fun flair on the walls. And the art exhibit I was shown was amazing. The principal came out of her meeting to personally welcome me, and the kids I spoke to about writing were so curious and delightful. This was a wonderful experience for me, and I hope I have the chance to come back for another author visit.

Brentfield is the only school where someone knew more about autism than I do. Principal Steve Lemons is a diplomat. He supports his teachers tremendously but he also acknowledges their flaws. He knows the name of every child, he greets them, he is no stranger to the cafeteria. He was born to be an elementary school principal. Absolutely.

They are great educators, and they go above and beyond with individual needs of the kids. We moved specifically to this area for the school and has exceeded our expectations. My kids love going to school every day and they are learning so much. Another great aspect to the school is the community between parents, teachers and staff. Our family feels extremely connected to the Brentfield community.

I came here one afternoon to work with their cheerleaders before a competition. They have a sports…read moretraining facility across the street from the school with a weight room and 9 full panel mats for a cheer team. Most schools only have 1-3 mats and barely have space to practice. The facility was older but kept in very good condition from what I could see. The coaches I came across while here were incredibly friendly. The athletes were just as friendly and respectful. From what I can tell, this is a school that values all of their sports/athletes and weighs heavy on kindness and respect. I was very impressed.

My daughter went to TCA and ran cross country. She started her first period during a race and it…read moreleaked badly through her shorts. She stopped running and went to her TCA coach to tell her and was given no empathy. At all. In fact, she made her finish the race. The next day my daughter got in trouble for stopping the race at school!

After touring the school, we learned that the students are offered advanced opportunities in several areas. The Smart Lab, available on all grade levels, teaches modern technological skills. Their attention to specialized learning for students with dyslexia and similar handicaps was encouraging to see. Teachers have been very friendly and welcoming. My grandchildren are happier than they were at a different Christian school and are excelling here at POPCS. Looking forward to many more years to enjoy this institution as the girls grow up.

But when we moved across the country and needed to find a new school i decided to give Dallas International School a try and i'm glad i did! They provide elective classes after school and their sports program is amazing!! My daughter is now challenged in the best way possible and i love seeing her work hard at school!

We moved our pre-school aged daughter to DIS from a Montessori school because of the opportunity to…read morelearn another language at such a young age. The difference in the schools is dramatic. DIS is caring and also provides structure and curriculum that has our daughter coming home speaking french, and singing french songs. The teachers communicate well by sending daily updates, weekly pictures, and by providing the curriculum so we can reinforce what she has learned at home. Everyone at DIS cares about our daughter; from her teachers and the teachers assistants that are with her everyday, to the receptionist that greets her daily - "Bonjour!" We love DIS, the community feel, and are so grateful for the opportunities it will provide our daughter.
