Our party of four came in on a Thursday at around 8 pm when we were looking for a sit down spot…read moreclose to our hotel. Animo ay caldos is more modern Mexican and they have all sorts of things on the menu (including birria ramen, to our surprise). It's almost like a diner. There's probably something for everyone. I ordered the quesabirria tacos, which were fine. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with some broth to dip it in. My husband had the combo burrito + soup of the day. He went with the Al pastor. This was our first time trying a burrito in Mexico, which I found out is more of a Tex Mex or Cali thing. They're more like quesadillas here, and not the massive packed tortillas in the U.S. The soup of the day was just meh. It had udon, zucchini (?), and cubes of cheese. It was like they just threw in whatever leftovers they had from the previous night into a pot. Would probably skip and get some tacos from a cart or something. It will be cheaper and much more delicious.

We found this place as we were looking for a Japanese/Mexican fusion restaurant and this is one…read morethat came up that was close by. Average food, though it did have potential, but definitely still lacked flavor and definitely missed any "wow" factor. Luckily we didn't have the same situation from the prior reviewer, but the actual ratings to us where still not that much higher (aside from now getting food poising and not being able to stop puking) Ambiance/Service: Very casual restaurant with good service and a walk up order style eating. Food/Drinks: We just had a pepsi here, so nothing special on drinks, but as far as food, we had the birriaramen, which was pretty good (blend between pozole and asian ramen). You also need to like the flavor of goat in order to enjoy the dish as it did have quite a bit of it. We had the Chicken taco, the Kayle poblano taco, and the red beef taco. The chicken taco in my opinion was the best, the others were good but a little watery and hard to eat and not enough stuffing Do not feel the need to go back here again, and wouldn't recommend as there are a lot of better places.

Who the heck travels all the way to Mexico City, only to go have lunch at Chili's? I do!…read more In my defense, the menu that they offer in Mexico is not the same as the one they offer back home, and this is true with many other eateries that have locations in both countries. My girlfriend and I came to this location found on the top floor of Antara Mall in Polanco. We walked in, and we were seated immediately. This is great, considering that it was a very busy weekend afternoon. We sat down and ordered some drinks while we decided on what to eat. I was craving a burger, and opted for the barbecue bacon burger, which came with a side of fries. My girlfriend had a simple hamburger without fries. The food took a short time to get to us. My burger was flavorful and came in a decent portion. The fries were a good complement, as was the mango lemonade, the michelada, and the coffee. The ambience is energetic, considering it was packed on a Saturday afternoon. The customer service is on point, and the place is clean and efficiently run. If you're craving a burger, or another plate that Chili's may offer, then give this location a try.

Friendly but slow service…read more Came here with the purpose of getting lunch before heading home. I ordered a soup to start with and the salmon. At the same time I ordered a glass of sweet tea. I supposed they waited for my soup to be ready to bring my tea. It took a while. When I get the soup, I noticed that it didn't include any of the extra garnishes. I ordered some avocado. It never came. I explained it was for the soup but I assume that didn't rush the kitchen in any way. The avocado cake with my entree. I was done with the soup by then. I was not properly greeted. I didn't care. I had one purpose in mind; lunch. Refills on my drink were slow. I don't even know my servers name and I'm still sitting here. I wonder if they notice if I leave without paying. To this, restaurant was not even at full capacity. Very disappointed. They get the stars strictly from the meal.
