I did a photo-shoot with Misty today at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. She was on time and even nice to me about being late. (I'm a habitual offender when it comes to timing...) And I showed up a bit of a mess. She helped me apply my fake eyelashes that I insisted on trying. And waited for me while I applied eyeliner. So patient. She spent time getting to know me and my personality. And she was just so sweet and non-judgmental. I felt comfortable getting pictures taken by her because she was so nice. I was a bit nervous, but she smiled a lot and she told me how to pose and reminded me to smile when I got serious, which was very reassuring. I seriously was probably her worst client and Misty handled everything so well. I really appreciate her effort and time and how kind she was.
She's also very creative. I told her that I wanted pictures with bright fall leave colors. She suggested the Park at Harlinsdale Farm and it was the perfect location. I also saw some of the pictures she took when we finished and they looked so good! I'm not even photogenic and they looked great!!
In addition to how creative and talented she is, she was also really good about keeping me at ease. I think she is used to a broad subject base. She told me that she likes to photograph newborns under 2 weeks old and children and senior portraits for high school students. She also lost over 150 lbs. within the past 5 years and volunteers in her church to help others lose weight. So, if you want pictures taken, I think Misty is a really sweet and a talented photographer who will make you feel comfortable and give you beautiful pictures. She should be your choice ;)
Just a quick note, but I found Misty on groupon.com. She's running a special right now where you can meet her within 15 miles of 37064 (Franklin) and she will spend about an hour on a photo shoot with you. She later edits the photographs and puts them online. She does prints and even gives you a cd of the originals for extra. The photo-shoot is $50 but is usually about $180. I remember doing my senior high school pictures and paid butt loads of cash and they didn't even come out well. Definitely get your pictures done with her before it gets more expensive (as it should because they're worth a lot more). She can do newborn photos, children, holiday photos, senior high school students, engagement pictures, portraits (graduation, professional, etc), family portraits or just because. Its actually fun.
