We unfortunately had to leave early due to smoke from wildfires in the surrounding area. Art was very gracious about our early departure including not charging us for the day that we were not able to use. We certainly hope to visit again when the air quality is better and we can truly enjoy the beautiful view of the Columbia River.

I have been to this resort every single season of the year, and every single season has something to offer. The wild life are amazing. The owner goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was especially impressed with what this resort had to offer. There is something for everyone: vacation rentals, RV parking, and campsites. The best part was that I was able to bring my horses. There was an outdoor arena, trails, and much more. I never had to worry about anything. She was the expert on site when I had an issue with my horse. It was real simple and we got it figured out. Came for 20 days... stayed 3 months. We came to Red to ski…read moreand stayed at a large Cabin. We had the fortune to contact Red Mountain Village directly and got a better price than in any platform. Ask for Val or for Larissa, they are so helpful and a delight to deal with. The Cabins are lovely, so quiet surrounded by trees and with so much snow! Our Cabin almost turned into an igloo after many snow storms, but we never had any trouble with the temperature, the small kitchen, the beds, everything was beyond expectations. We end loving the mountain, Red is a serious place where you really learn to ski trees. If you can ski trees in Red you will be able to ski trees anywhere after; but with so much effort having a welcoming place and a great bathtub to rest is great and the Cabins at Red Mountain Village deliver! The walk to the lift is a very convenient short trip that worked great as a warm up. Definitely looking forward to come back.

They are equipped with a small kitchen and everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. We stayed in "the Station" this time and it was delightful! A very well done garage theme! I highly recommend Lazy Daze Retreats as your destination the next time you want to get away from the craziness of city life! Fishing, boating, hiking, bicycling and hunting are all available! There are a couple of restaurants and a historic bar (Kuk's) within walking distance. Like a said a great destination if you want to escape the rat race in comfort!

My family booked at Arrow Beach Cottages back in March for a 4-day family vacation in July. We paid…read morea $860 deposit and our family of 8 had booked time off work and flights out. When I went to pay the remainder of the fees, we were notified that our booking was CANCELLED because of their mistake of double booking. Not only were we return customers, but we had booked first - apparently the other family who booked after us and was given priority. We were not offered any compensation, phone calls were not returned, communication was abysmal. My family was left scrambling to find something else late in the season, impossible! If they run one business like this, I guarantee they run their other business, Halycon Hotsprings like this as well. Make sure you have a back-up if you book with them!

Review Visit: July 17th, 2015…read more I have quite warmed up to the fact that Hot Springs are the best thing ever. Banff Upper Hot Springs is where I got my first taste. A few days later, we finally decided to do something besides explore Nakusp. We got everyone on the same page and headed towards Nakusp Hot Springs. Anticipations were high as everyone was ready for more relaxation and soothing scorching hot water. As we rolled up and got out of the van, the first thing I noticed is how quiet it was. Banff National Park is a really tourist-heavy area. Firstly, we had trouble parking due to the volume of people. Then, the pool was decently filled with people. But not here. The lot was nearly empty and there wasn't anybody in sight. The girls beat us in as they were more excited about it than us adults. Inside, it was apparent that it was a slow day for them. There was no line and before we knew it, we paid, changed clothes and were dipping our toes in the hot water. The water here was about the same temperate as the other hot spring. Its just hot enough to make you wonder if this is a good idea or not. After awhile, you body adjusts to it and you kind of just melt. Not literally, of course. As I expected, there were only a handful of people in the hot spring. This was great as the pool here was a bit smaller than the other. There was also a hotter spring next to the main pool that held the hotter water. Of course, we jumped in there after awhile. But again, we could only be in the hotter one for a short while as it will make you feel dehydrated and light-headed. It wouldn't be a trip to the hot springs if I didn't get out and do the cold shower during our time at this one. It was cold. It was intense. It was worth it. I convinced my cousin to do it as well and he was none-too-pleased after the fact. Everyone got a good laugh out of it. Overall, it was a good and relaxing experience before we all got geared up for the wedding that was a few days after this. I got my first taste of a hot spring in Banff. I fell in love with them in Nakusp.
