No store guide - pretty much figure out for yourself what is where, which in a large store is pretty annoying. Cleanliness was good, optional hand sanitizer on entry due to the pandemic and as with the shopping centre as a whole and all indoor areas in France, you must currently wear a face mask to enter. 3* - Decent store within the mall, I do prefer other Uniqlo stores but it certainly is A-OK, especially if you have a little patience at first.

And it is open on Sundays, the only mall open on Sundays in Paris. During my visit the summer sale started so you can get French designer clothes for a lot less during the end of June until early August. This supermarket makes for some of the best value takeaway lunches to be found in La Defense. It's…read morenot the biggest M&S foods store that you'll find in Paris, but still has more English food tasty treats than you can imagine, including lots of creative and unique options. Service is quick and usually very friendly. M&S also gets a big green tick as they seem to have the most ambitious sustainability goals when compared to any other large supermarket chain. This includes things like trying to source fish from sustainable fisheries, fairtrade ingredients, free range eggs etc. The other great thing is that their goals extend beyond their stores, and extend into their supply chain, which is where a real difference can be made. If only all supermarket chains would strive for similar sustainability goals!

Inside, it is bright and has a nice, new, modern feel to it, while the selection of shops is okay, the giant square featuring Grande Arche and the Westfield Les 4 Temps across the way, one of my favourite malls worldwide makes it better. CNIT stans for Centre of New Industries and Technologies, it was one of the first buildings in La Defense which are the business area of Paris, I like to think of it as a Parisian Canary Wharf. I did find the lifts a little confusing and difficult to navigate at first. I did find the loud construction noises throughout during the daytime to be offputting, I get they have to do it sometime and it can be difficult with a hotel, but it just felt a little uncomfortable. The place is weird overall from having offices to shops and hotels, it isn't' HUGE but is a decent size, perhaps they're doing too much? 3* - A really nice building featuring some useful locations from Nespresso to Monoprix, and even a Hilton in a nice part of the city but it's only the start of your La Defense journey. They have free wifi, so the French employees don't even have to report to their offices to work. They just congregate at one of the coffee shops and then move to the next coffee shop where they can continue their social time - which by the way lasts until lunch when they go somewhere else to avoid their office. After a two hour lunch, they might just take the metro or train home, because they do have a grueling 30 hour work week to fake so that they can earn their 16 weeks vacation time. Thank god for socialism, because these overwrought employees only have to do this for 20 years before they get 100% pensions. Whew! what a relief.
