Boba shop in a touristy Portuguese town at the top of a forested hill? And it's good?! I was skeptical at first but when I got a 20% coupon from our hotel (thanks Casa da Pendoa! Highly recommend this hotel btw!!) and I was thirsty from trekking the palaces, I had to check it out.
The shop is super cute. Lots of anime and Ghibli decorations and items for sale. The Sintra mural on the back wall is gorgeous.
The menu is comprehensive, with boba milk tea from classic to taro to coffee to special seasonal flavors like hot Cinnamon or Travasseiro. You can also customize the sweetness and use oat milk instead of regular milk. They also have fruit teas and various add-ins like flavored popping boba, original boba, egg pudding and jelly. You can get the drinks hot or iced, and you can choose a medium or large (photos in my review are medium).
The menu is a good price. They also offer various Portuguese pastries, unique flavored KitKats, ramen, and bubble waffle (aka egg waffle). All items 1-6€.
The drinks tasted excellent. You could actually taste the tea flavor AND the coffee flavor. (I am sad I had to fly all the way to Portugal to get good milk tea at a reasonable price!) Having enjoyed one drink so much I came back the next day for another round! The next time I got taro, whoch was not as strong but still yummy. Egg waffle was done well too.
Other notes: The people there are nice and speak excellent English. Free wifi. A small amount of comfy seating spots. read more
