They were completely committed to helping us get the most for our home, achieving more than we ever thought was possible. Having sold multiple homes in the South Bay, we can say without a doubt that we've never had an experience as seamless and supportive as this. They handled every aspect of selling our home in Manhattan Beach and went far beyond expectations; connecting us with incredible contractors, helping with landscaping and staging (they have unbelievable taste!), and checking on the house after we had already moved across the country. They are brilliant, have magnetic personalities, and above all, are truly kind and compassionate people. You are in the absolute best hands with them. We will always be so grateful to Piper and Karen for making our MB sale and cross-country move possible!

We packed all of our stuff and moved to Montana, leaving absolutely everything in the hands of Karen & Piper. They closed our home after the movers finished (we were already in the airport on our way to Montana). They made sure to stage the home to make it look like a million dollars. They have impeccable taste. They got us a huge amount of offers just after two days of our house being listed with all of the offers way above the listing price. It was amazing how they marketed and showed our house. I never thought we could get that much for our property. We honestly just followed all their suggestions because we know how efficient and smart they are. They are not only trustworthy but the most professional real estate agents you are going to find. I wish I could keep working with them in the future, but we aren't planning on buying or selling any more property in Southern California. They genuinely care about performing the absolute best work that they can provide. They are passionate about business and people.

I am a home seller in Laguna Beach. I tried using a smaller real estate office at first to sell my…read morehome. Needless to say, they were unsuccessful. So I began looking at which realtors in the area were the biggest marketers. After all, that's what I wanted- someone who would promote the heck out of my house. In comes John Stanaland and my entire experience as a home seller turned from disappointed to enthusiastic. First, John answered my call personally. He then made an appointment with me to meet at and inspect my home. He was on time for the meeting and that means a lot to me. John is a smart guy and he really knows the local real estate scene. I gathered this about him in our first meeting. Therefore, I have him the listing. Almost immediately John and his dedicated team, including Arianna and Trevor (Stanakid), got to work. They began holding open houses nearly every single week. Every time, they would walk the home and help to come rely prepare it for showings. I also liked that they would bring several people to the open house to watch my things while strangers roamed the place. That have me a sense of security. Most importantly, John and his team took the time to understand the less obvious and particular selling points of my home. They then prepared and distributed wonderful literature complete with great professional photos to prospective buyers. Arianna was the main agent assigned to my home sale. She is a true professional and certainly conducts herself in a manner appropriate for selling high end beach real estate. I felt Arianna was able to quickly understand the intentions of prospective buyers and then acted on the ones she felt should be acted upon. John's personal marketing that he spends so much money on week after week is what eventually brought the buyer to my home. As difficulties arose, John and Arianna were there to meet them head on. Today, my home sale closes and the ppf I am receiving makes me very happy. I offer John and the Stanaland my highest unqualified recommendation. I would not hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them to my friends and family. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THAT YOU CANNOT GO WRONG USING THE STANALAND GROUP!!! I saw another posting from what appears to be an angry person. After this very positive experience with John and his team, I find it very hard to believe the negative posting was actually left by a client who utilized his services. I would place my bet that the negative posting was left by a competitor or someone else with a misguided axe to grind.

When we later decided to purchase a home, there was no question we wanted to work with him again. He guided us through the entire buying process and made what could have been a stressful experience feel much more manageable. What really stood out was how hyper-local his knowledge is. In some cities that might not matter as much, but in Laguna Beach it truly makes a world of difference. Every street, neighborhood, and nuance matters here, and having a local realtor who truly understands the area is invaluable. We're so glad we had someone who knows Laguna inside and out, and we couldn't imagine navigating this process without him. We are so happy with our purchase! Thank you!

We made the mistake of listing our home with a good friend , emphasis, unfortunately, on former…read more His strategy was to price the house low to create a bidding war. Sounded great in theory. In reality, after a month of lowball offers, deals falling apart, and absolutely none of the promised bidding-war fireworks, he suggested we reduce the price even further , despite similar homes, many not nearly as nice as ours, selling for more. We were completely perplexed. Every time we asked what was going on, there seemed to be another explanation about something supposedly wrong with the house, but never much acknowledgment that maybe , just maybe, the strategy itself wasn't working. At some point, when your beautiful home starts being treated like the last dented can in the clearance aisle, you know something has gone sideways. So we parted ways, took the house off the market for a few weeks, regrouped, and hired Kathe. The difference was immediate. From the moment Kathe walked through the door, she understood what made the home special. The custom woodwork, the huge back patio, the classic kidney-shaped pool, and all the little details that gave the house character. Instead of telling us what was wrong with it, she saw what was right with it. And we loved that. She brought in stagers, added her own personal touches, repositioned the home properly and , this is the part we particularly enjoyed, suggested we actually raise the asking price by $10,000 over our original listing. The minute the house hit the market, we received multiple offers. It sold in a freaking WEEK for nearly $40,000 more than what we had originally been asking. Talk about night and day. The entire experience with Kathe, albeit a very quick one, was an absolute pleasure. She understood the home, understood the market, and most importantly, knew how to present it in a way that made buyers see what we had always seen in it. We genuinely could not recommend her more highly to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. And when the day eventually comes to say goodbye to our current house, there won't be a dramatic realtor audition process. We're calling Kathe.
