    The wider area of the mall with the Target Store in the back and the Outback restaurant which does have crowds on the movie nights.

    One of the many places that I like to have lunch with the outdoors area and with some of the best stores some of them that have been there since the opening of the mall I. 1962.. One of the oldest stores that have been at the mall from the Mission Valley West and the famous home store of Montgomery Wards . With the many malls that are here in San Diego from the indoor malls to those that are inside for one of the best was Horton Plaza that was many levels you could see both sides. Mission Valley Mall is one where you see the many restaurants from the taco bell that many game groups came for dinner and the famous Panera . From the many weeks the mall would have many great sales weeks those that are before Christmas and many before Valentine's Day finding the best sales. Customer service at the mall getting help in the many areas of security and directional help malls are some of the ones street he'd put .From the AMC theater that is the multi Plex of of the that was the Small cafeteria before the change in the outlay. From the many values of the stores you can find sales at both sections from the BevMo to the Home Interior store . Mission Valley Mall the best place for the selections of bridal gifts that are at the Macy's Backstage. With the food court having great prices from the yard arm the best in Bert finding the best in happy hour value . Being an avid shopper at the mission valley and the Hazard Center malls other malls high prices Mission Valley had to offer . With the mission valley west you can find more to the mission Valley Mall when you see of the food court closer to the hazard center mall. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer the many years that the Mission Valley Mall has been open the many movie premieres the mall has been one that has been the center of the holidays and special events .

    I missed a decade of shopping here at this local mall when it was at the top of its prime, a lot of stores have come and gone, not the same anymore, Ruby's Tuesday never recovered, JC Penny gone, many favorite restaurants gone, many clothing stores holding special artists events for signings, no longer, many up and coming singers did their mall concerts here, well it has become less and less, I overheard the news that the mall will be replaced with apartments building in the future because they could not afford the lease, so I will enjoy Mission Valley til it lasts

    We were in San Diego for the day and sadly there's no real place for souvenirs for kids or in general. A friend recommended this all because they have a store with items made by local vendors. So we went to check it out. It's an outdoor mall. They have tons of stuff for kids such as a play area. There's tons of great store with unique items. Definitely check it out! There's also a few restaurants within and a few places to grab a quick bite as well.

    The mall's main strip. Once filled with people.

    I always now walk and reflect in sadness of what this mall used to be. Back when I was here over 7 years ago, businesses thrived, at times you could hardly walk without bumping into somebody, and I couldn't wait to eat a Ruby's Diner after a movie! Well, at least the theater is still here, but seems of shadow of what it used to be. Mission Vally Mall was the first mall I visited and watched at here in San Diego around 2004. From then on, it became my go-to mall during my various military tours. But that seems over now. There is no food court here (I loved Sarku Japan there and one shop with Indian cuisine), though there are definitely some good restaurants in the area. Let's just say I'm being nostalgic. But after a five-year absence from a pretty thriving mall after I left in 2015, when I returned it seemed an empty shell. And in my times back here, where are the people? Even Santa seems lonely, except for his helpers who are present. But there are still a few decent shopping places here. Nordstrom's and Bloomingdale's are present. I love sporting goods shops and there is a Champs here. PacSun is around still, as is Outback, though I never eat there! Beware of the calories in that bloomin' onion friends! Well, I have to say I still see visions of Mission Valley mall past when I walk around here. Thriving business with lots of people shopping and going to the movies. This doesn't seem nearly happening so much at the present. I hope it's future will be what it once was - some special things you just don't want to let go of. Recommend: MEDIUM

    YELPers, nostalgic mall admirers, walkers, wish I could give more than three stars I love that it's fairly safe to walk & browse here, really kewl mini dog park (next to former Robinson's-May). Target, Tender Greens & Panera serve as batteries that charge it up. There are a few boutiques left, Francescas is one that doesn't disappoint. Let's enjoy Mission Valley Center while it's still here

    Covid = no people.

    Hmmm. Off my game. Not realizing I haven't put a review for this mall even though I've come here plenty of times through out the years. What I can say is there is a difference in stores, environment, and people who shop here compared to Fashion Valley (which is right down the road). This mall at times seems a bit cramped for space. During busy days where I'd shop here I'd literally have to dodge other people walking by. Throughout the years plenty of stores and even restaurants (I still miss the Tilted Kilt and even Seau's) have come and gone. Don't know if AMC will survive the CV19 plague as that too may go. To sum it up this mall is OK. I'd still prefer Fashion Valley as it is bigger and has better shopping options IMO (although this mall does have a Target).

    Joy joy joy :)

    Westfield Mission valley mall is an airy outdoor shopping center that is near the exit of the freeway and there are loads of other retail stores on both sides of the streets. Parking is super easy and they even have underground parking. When in the area I always go to Fashion valley but on a whim decided to check this mall out for the first time--it has an outlet shopping feel to me. I had parked near Tender greens and Starbucks. The outer portion of the mall was really nice! Once you reach the inner portion of the outdoor mall it appears to look somewhat older. It was late though. Nevertheless, there is a target store inside the mall and they even have a gym for those who come to the mall to workout?!? A huge Christmas tree is in the middle of the mall with a super cute red mail box that read letters for Santa. The mall had a pop up area with lights, a few places to sit, and to simply enjoy the night by the fire. I stumbled upon this lounge area and it quickly became my favorite spot. I snapped a few photos as the letters J-O-Y that had lights that shined ever so nicely. Overall lovely experience! My favorite part was the outer part of the mall and just as you enter nearest the side of Starbucks it has lights up and nice lounge area. I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!
