Our first choice of an assisted living facility was TenderNest because a good friend had lived there happily a few years ago. The mission statement for TenderNest states that , "TenderNest constantly strives to exceed the expectations of our residents and their loved ones." This was certainly our experience! Our dad lived in several different assisted living venues in Great Falls, so he (and we) were familiar with the care and routines and knew what to expect. The staff (especially Clyde!) made my dad feel so comfortable and at home! They truly did, "enhance his quality of life, create a fun, loving, and cozy environment and do whatever it takes!" to create a wonderful home for Dad. This statement of values from TenderNest is true and obviously informs the day-to-day care practices of the employees. Our sincere thanks to the folks at TenderNest for providing a beautiful living environment for Dad at the end of his life. Our family will be forever grateful.

There are so many wonderful people who work at High Gate! In the Memory Cottage, Amber, who apparently LIVES in the kitchen, is an example of an employee with standards so exemplary that I am continually astonished by her expertise at her job. She over-sees all kitchen activity and participates in everything that happens there. No easy task. It's not common to come by someone with the loyalty, pride and skill in a profession as demanding as Amber's. AND no matter how stressful the moment, this remarkable woman continues to greet my family with a warm and energetic smile. We are so grateful for everything that she does and for all that she is !!!

There were times when no employee was in the house with the residents and the people that were there had no training or credentials. For the 6 months she was there, she was not receiving some of her scheduled medications which resulted in the deterioration of her condition. Food was horrible and lacked any sort of nutrition, nothing was fresh. The representation of the facility before she moved in was vastly different from the reality. I would not recommed this facility to my worst enemy, much less the elderly who need care.

The staff is worthless, as old as the clients & young 20yr old adults relatives of the owner whom all have NO patience, talk rudely to them, never let them out, and serve alcohol to the one that's an alcoholic. The place is underlying filthy, poop on walls and shower curtains, shut them up in rooms, leave then unattended for10-20minutes each meal, to run over to another house where food is made in the garage for the clients. The majority is pizza, sadly gross food. They don't like visitors (why? Afraid to be scene of wrong doing). They made my mom's elderly friends on the bus go back to their resthome because they didn't have an appointment to visit!! They were 85 & 80 made to cry the man was so nasty from the home. After that and pictures of many gross things came in from family who visited her, my fell hard.
