My wife is a realtor and her business tax filings and our personal tax filings have always been difficult to sort out in a timely manner. Ming has been a great team to help us sort out tax season without the stress. But where Ming and his team really shine is how they help us manage our accounting needs for the business and our personal investments. Ming and his team have been incredibly helpful in organizing our expenses, managing payroll, and providing valuable tax strategies. Ming is very detail oriented and he's able to catch when we've made oversights. For example, one year, he was able to spot that there were two tax forms accidentally missing in our submission when he compared it to the prior year's submission. Ming continually keeps up with changes in the tax code, advising us on options that are now available that may possibly benefit both our personal filings as well as my wife's real estate business. We also like the app that he uses to allow us to review documents, upload documents, and send us notifications in a secure and centralized way. We can always log in and look at the history of our interaction. Thanks to their expertise, we've been able to maximize tax strategies and optimize our finances both for our personal finances and for my wife's business. MC Accountancy exceeds expectations and is a reliable financial partner for any business.

Our experience with…read moreCarol Fullam and Amy were awful and involved months of communication delays, unfulfilled commitments, and ultimately being dropped as clients on Tax Day itself. My husband worked with this firm for 6 months to assist with what seemed to be a complicated tax scenario (but was handled in less than a week by a new CPA). Communication was unreliable throughout, including repeated instances where they claimed to have sent questions or requests that were never delivered. In February, my husband introduced me so we could file jointly, as my individual return is very straightforward. Despite this, simple questions regarding their fee structure, required documents, and basic filing steps routinely took over a week to answer. When I called Amy directly for clarity, she appeared distracted and admitted she had left my emails unanswered because she didn't know the answers, telling me to contact Carol instead. I followed up politely asking for Carol's guidance via phone or email, noting that I had been waiting 1.5 months just to understand how to proceed and pay them. Carol refused phone calls, so I asked if they were simply at capacity so I could look elsewhere. Carol's immediate response was to drop me as a client. Following this, I asked for written confirmation that my uploaded sensitive tax records would be deleted from their portal. Amy claimed they were purged, but I logged in and found my documents were still active. When I followed up requesting screenshot verification, they ignored me entirely, leaving serious data privacy concerns unresolved. Two weeks later--on the actual day of the tax filing deadline--the firm contacted my husband out of the blue and dropped him as well, claiming they felt uncomfortable because my polite and easy administrative inquiries were too direct and "mean." Wasting six months of work and abandoning a client on the deadline is completely unprofessional. Avoid this firm if you need reliable communication and secure handling of your financial records. They have no idea what they are doing. If my experience doesn't convince you, just look at the business owner's responses to other negative reviews. They routinely expose private, personal client financial data and tax histories just to get the last word. This public retaliation is completely unethical, violates strict CPA confidentiality rules, and can result in severe legal fines. Wonder if anyone has reported this yet..

He met with me (over zoom) for probably 4 hours or more to resolve my questions, and this was all covered by his original quote to simply redo tax returns from previous years. From what I can tell asking friends, getting this type of insight on your tax situation from an accountant is difficult I really appreciate that he took the time to explain things to me. And this was right before the tax deadline! Silas is also flexible about which communication medium to use, and I like both the file sharing service he uses, and his practice of giving you a detailed post-return analysis. Also, I believe he has experience working with a wide variety of tax situations. Highly recommend!
