My boyfriend and I were in Coruña for the day and stopped by Five Elephant while waiting for a…read morefriend to meet us. We quickly found an available table inside and I ordered coffee while my boyfriend used the restroom (which were very clean!). There was no menu, so I was not sure yet what food we were going to order. I waited for my boyfriend to come back and then we both went to the bar to look at the available food.
There were several cakes available, including banana walnut, red velvet, carrot cake, lemon poppy seed, and several more. There were also croissants and churros, as well as tostadas. We settled on a slice of carrot cake and a slice of the lemon poppy seed cake.
The slices of cake came to our table quickly, but our server had forgotten about the coffee, as I had ordered it separately from the cake slices. She apologized and ended up not charging us for it. The two cake slices were a little expensive (€4-4.50 each) but were tasty. I was sad I could not have my cake at the same time as my coffee, since it took a while to get the coffee, but not the biggest deal in the world.
The interior and exterior seating options were plentiful and aesthetically pleasing. There was also free WiFi available (password: Coffee123) and there were some people working on laptops there.
In general, it was a good experience, although service could be improved. It's also located in a great area that is super walkable and close to shops, restaurants, offices, etc. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area!
