Maxine's Dance Studio is an amazing place for children to learn classical ballet, tap, jazz,…read morecontemporary and modern dance. The studio has been in operation for more than 50 years. My 4 children all have had the opportunity to learn from Maxine Chapman, Founder, Artistic Director Emeritus and Kimberly Chapman, Artistic Director. My children learned skills that they have carried forward into their adult lives. My daughter who danced for Maxine and the Vineland Regional Dance Company now serves in the USAF. Her dance training made her physically strong and mentally ready for basic training. My son Is 20 and is now a professional dancer with the NY State Ballet. My youngest son, now 17, in his senior year, has autism. Dance helped him so very much, he even performed the role of the Rat King in the Nutcracker. Each one of these 3 children danced 14 years each, all at Maxine's studio. My oldest enjoyed one year of dance lessons, she now brings her 7 year old daughter for dance lessons which she LOVES. There really is no other studio like Maxine's. I will continue to promote and sing praises of such an amazing place to teach children the art of dance.

Do not and I mean do not send your kid to Maxine Studio of dance !!! There is a so much…read moredisfunction, inappropriate teachings , abuse and mind games that go on at that studio I could write a book. I have years of emails to prove it and the many many dancers testimonies that have left for the same reasons. My heart aches for the children still there and I honestly pray the studio and company is shut down . The after effects of going to a place where they claim to be the best , suck these poor small children in with hopes of becoming a professional dancer or dancer in their company and then verbally abuse them implying that that are just teaching them self confidence and how to take a correction. I mean do not send your kid to Maxine Chapman's Studio of Dance unless you wish to have your kid experience their first abusive relationship at a very early age . Anexoria is a issue after weigh ins and negative comments about not fitting into costumes , depression and loss of interest, as well as, in the very thing these kids worked so hard to name a few.
