Teachers here are not interested in making friends with students (although it does happen) Their only goal is to teach students and make them smarter. Sports are a serious business here. Not only do they care about stimulating the mind, they also are huge believers in motivating and nourishing the body. Spirituality, although I am not a religious person (at all...) it never bothered me while I was here, they teach in a subtle and not in a "in-your-face" type of way. They had a more practical approach to it. They were really demanding, and wouldn't accept anything less than excellence from their students. If someone was falling behind, they did a good job at reaching out and helping out the student in any way needed. Good education, good people, good establishment.

We truly appreciate the collaborative approach that they have with the parents and they encourage our involvement with activities. The teachers are well trained and in tune to not only the cognitive and educational development of the children, but also the social emotional as well, which is something HUGE for me! Our twins have been coming since they were three and it's so heartwarming to see the teachers all love on them and know them by name and share the funny stories about their day to day interactions with our kids with us as if they were members of our own family. Greater still is that OUR kids know the teachers by name--even the ones that aren't even theirs! There's such a beautiful sense of community and care. I'm so heartbroken that we aren't finishing out the year as we are relocating to the east coast come March. But I can't recommend New Hope Preschool enough to parents searching for a loving, nurturing environment where the faculty are skilled in all facets of child development. New Hope is definitely a gem and we will forever remember our experience here and are grateful to have our kids starting experience with education come from such a wonderful place.

I am a huge advocate for childcare programs that help foster both emotional developmental and academic growth, and New Hope does just that . The kiddos work just as hard on their counting and learning to write their names as they do on exploring the world around them through cultural days, art and even up-close encounters with ladybugs and butterflies! After being home with me for 4 years, my twins started in Mrs. Rainys classroom last year. The amount of growth they had in that year really set them up to succeed in Kindergarten this year. They are some of the youngest students in their class and are already reading above grade level! Mrs. Rainys is a wonderful teacher and my youngest can't wait to have her next year like her big sisters! This year my youngest daughter started at New Hope in Mrs. Wickham's classroom. Mrs. Wickham is one of the original teachers that started the program and you can tell she loves what she does and truly wants the best for each child. Mrs. Johanna is also in the classroom and even though she started mid-year, she jumped right in and has been wonderful! My daughter loves school and wakes up asking "is it school today?" You see, I tried to get Alexander into the public preschool system and when I asked what their academic goals are for the year, they said "uhm, some kids learn their letter sounds and numbers..." Some?! He's known those since he was 3! He can even do addition now. Concordia really prepares the kids for kindergarten and helps them have an excellent academic discipline at a very early age. Alexander has had homework since he was in the 3-year old classroom. Now, they're tackling sight words in Pre-K! Wow! Optional, yes...but even Alexander loves doing his homework. It's all about consistency but I love how they help parents with ensuring kids have an excellent school ethic as they get older. No wonder most of their graduates get recognized when they move up to elementary schools. Great work, Concordia!

We've seen amazing progress in our son's independence, confidence, and curiosity since starting here. One of the things we really love is the app they use.
