Went here with the other half for our 12 week ultrasound scan…read more Firstly, to book the scan we had to ring a premium rate number (0844 902 0004). Cost me about £5 for the call from my mobile after being kept on hold for ages. After doing a bit of research online, it looks like 01924 20512266 is the local number to book in for a Ultrasound scan. On arriving we found that all the car parks are pay and display (£1.70 for an hour), however both ticket machines were broken so we didn't bother. Despite booking an appointment for 1pm, we waited until 1.10pm despite being only 1 of 2 couples in the waiting room. The nurse doing the scan didn't really engage in any kind of conversation, which made the whole experience feel very impersonal. Also we had to pay £5 to get a picture of the baby scan to take home. Altogether cost me over a tenner for something which should be free as i've already paid for it in tax! As for the hospital itself, it looks like it hasn't seen a refurb since the late 60's, with the whole place feeling very old and decrepit. We'll be giving Pindefields Hospital in Wakefield a try for the next scan!

Turned up , Thursday , as suggested by my GP , and practice nurse , to have my phlebotomy tests ,…read morewas told to come back tomorrow, we don't do GP BLOODS ON THURSDAY . ( 2 Staff NO OTHER PATIENTS) , then took me 3 attempts to extradite my car from the car park , with help from two other people ( one of them , the advice desk ) , The new machine doesn't take £1 coins or £5 notes . N H S , is a JOKE .

The setting of this hospital is lovely , with its greenery and plentiful garden benches…read more Stepping in the receptionist to the right is always lovely and helpful. To the left is a nice modern waiting area with a fancy free coffee machine for those that sit. Visting various rooms every one was clean and of a high standard. Every staff member I encountered always acknowledged me and greeted me in a friendly manner. My room I stayed in was basic and everything leading up to the operation was good. After the procedure the nurses were frequent to ask me if needee anything food/drink wise . However they did continue to leave my door open which left me with a restless night. In the morning I was offered anything I wished to eat and drink. Overall this is a lovely hospital with great staff.

Really nice modern health centre. Has a few different GP surgeries in it (Dr Medley, Conway and…read moreSpencer, Eightlands Surgery and Victoria Health Practice). Only downside is the car park gets really full on a morning, and none of the GP surgeries here offer online booking.
