Went through $3500 in a matter of days. Fruit? One document created. She tried to file it and we wasted 2 days before she realized that you can't file an exparte over the internet. So we had to drive to Martinez to file it. Anyhow, they had a good plan and we won the exparte but it took way too much $ for the result. I also did not communicate much or run the bill up and provided the core docs efficiently. And so this was just a matter of mismanagement of the case (imo). It's too bad because the paper she wrote was good. I'd say just take the advice on the first meeting and then prepare your stuff on your own if you are able. read more

I did hire Levi and had to fire him after the first month. I should have read other reviews here more carefully. What he was doing is border criminal and I am preparing to take him to the court for that. To be clear, I had many attorneys in children custody case that lasted many years, I was not exactly a novice in that area. Its absolutely true what other reviewers say here, Levi does talk a lot about nothing, totally useless information lasting hours and hours. In my case he did try to capitalize on my fair of losing custody, directly threatening me about it, that the only way I survive is if I do exactly what he says, and he will be spending hundreds of hours per month to explain what I need to do or not to do. All that was useless, my situation was never as bad as he portrayed to me and got much better as soon as I fired him. What I heard later from co-parenting coordinator, it was clear that Levi was not representing my interests as he was supposed to. To be clear, on my initial consultation with Levi, we agreed on action plan, expected results, and the price for the job. The upcoming hearing was very soon, and his office presented me totally different contract, leaving out the agreed terms. Since I needed Levi in the hearing, signed the contract, hoping that Levi will honor the terms. He did not. I asked him on the first month to honor the terms, he was complaining about his own office that his hands are tied. And I ended up firing him after the first month. He did not do anything on what we agreed on. Instead, his office spent hours and hours preparing I&E and "analyzing" financial discovery materials that I have not even provided. When I confronted about that, they removed some hours from the billing. But later charged again. read more

I only got one important question answered for $450. I went to see Levi a couple weeks ago to get some legal advice about an upcoming hearing. I have not retained services. I don't think I could afford to do so because he's able to talk for a very long time about nothing. I think that you could get some very valuable information out of him if you are able to get him to stop talking about useless information. Not unlike a used car salesman, he has a few choice catchphrases like "I could explain why that is, if you'd like." Umm yeah- thanks handsome, but you just spent 20 minutes explaining to me why I shouldn't have submitted my documents in the manner I did six months ago. So I think I have enough useless information- thanks. I eventually got SOME of the information I needed out of him, but for nearly twice my budget because, as I may have mentioned, he was able to rant enough to go quite a bit over my time limit. I'm sure a lot a lawyers are like this- but I made it clear to him that I didn't have much money, and that didn't seem to affect his desire to reach an amount. And he took five minutes to read half a page of double spaced text. Wow. That was painful to see. My child can read faster than that. Maybe I should have cut my losses halfway through our appointment. It was so obvious that he had carefully crafted time gobbling techniques in play. read more

She stated I would not be eligible for citizenship via marriage, despite 20 years as a Green Card holder and eight years of documented marriage in the U.S. Gave subjective political comments regarding presidential nominees.
