Technically a great IceCream store (with flavors you will not find elsewhere), is their horchatas (ice brisk cool milk-like beverage made out of chufas[*]) that will floor you on the spot. If too sweet (they are silky sweet), granizados (slushee like beverage) will also do the trick. All these items are made in house fresh, along with pastries and Turron. They have a coffee bar, and sell food and drink products for the Island (gin, sobrasada (a rich, savory, smooth sausage, great with baked bread and Menorqui cheeses), chocolates, ensaimadas (a traditional Balearic pastry the size of a medium pizza, great with hot chocolate). All in all, a great stop-over after a long day going around the city. (*) For the Horchata connoisseur: You are drinking the original Horchata from the 1200s Spain. Anything outside European Spain is a poor imitation, as when Spain colonized LatinAmerica, they had no access to chufas, substituting them for rice. =P

We shared and enjoyed a Mixed salad. The star of the show was the Galacian Octopus. The Octupus was smoked and seasoned with Paprika placed over a bed of Confit potatoes. A local dish that was exquisite. We shared it and didn't want it to end. A must try and I'm craving it as I write this review! Service was upbeat and attentive. Went here on a day trip from Porto and wow, it was great to escape the heat for a minute. I thought about getting a massage to relieve some pain from my burn, but they said it was too severe of a burn. Nonetheless, I persisted. I came along place, looking for refuge. And boy, did I find it. I had a warm ice coffee along with a traditional dish for lunch. I after relaxed and listened to the jazz of a man who reminded me of someone near and dear to my life, Edith. Abroad, it's easy to think about Edith as she makes me think of home. So did this fine establishment. If I ever do another day trip, I would come back!
