They're also carrying Luminara candles and Coblentz chocolates, I'm guessing for the upcoming holiday season. The chairs still had the original 1915 upholstery fabric and cushions. They were not usable in the condition and in need of a total overhaul. Several years ago, I had taken a chair that needed gluing to The Chair Repair Shop. They didn't turn me away because the job was too small and did a nice job for a reasonable price. I remembered them when it came time to do something with my 1915 era table and chairs. The work is now complete. The Chair Repair Shop did a beautiful job on cleaning and restoring the table and totally refurbishing the chairs. This was my second service from Brahler's, the first a year ago for restoration following water…read morethat seeped into ground floor rooms following torrential early morning rain. Once called, techs arrived within a few hours, pulled carpeting away from walls and placed fans to dry the areas. Speedy, follow up to check progress as promised and the fans were removed when the floor and carpeting were dry. I received a call from Brahler's a week or two ago, reminding me of their work described above and saying they are available for carpet cleaning as well as restoration. I'd been thinking of having carpet and upholstered furniture cleaned, and their call was the incentive to do it now. If I could rate the company above a 5-star, I would. Before the appointment, lamps, end tables, coffee table, and other items that could be taken from the carpeted rooms were removed. The two-person crew called when they left their prior appointment and arrived at my condo at the appointed time. I reviewed with the lead tech what I wanted, answered a few questions to confirm all tasks, and specifically pointed out two *old* stains that previous cleaning companies had failed to remove. Then I got out of the way. Three and a half hours later, they were done. The lead tech said the upholstery would dry quickly, but the carpeting could take 12 to 24 hours. This morning, 16 hours later, I found the upholstery and carpeting dry. Those two stains I pointed out are gone! The furniture and carpeting are 12 years old and it all looks new, refreshed. I am over the moon happy with the results and the professional handling of my carpet and upholstery cleaning from placing the order to waving good-bye to the techs as they pulled out of the driveway! Note that charges are based on square footage to be cleaned. If you have those figures available, the person making the appointment may be able to give you an estimate of the cost. Other companies may be able to do it for less, but, in my opinion, they won't be able to do it better.

I used Carpet Pro years ago, and they were great, but I switched to the company my complex recommended because they were cheaper. BIG MISTAKE!!!! They called me at 10:50 a.m. and said they would be at my house in 12 minutes...great. Then they called me at 11:08 and said they JUST NOW had to re-route the driver to another house and said they would be to my house for another 2 hours. Notice that they called me a full 6 minutes after they said they would already be here. That means the truck was either in my drive already or just down the street, turned him around and tells me I'm the one that has to wait another 2 hours After they called me the first time, @ 10:50, I called my soon to be ex-wife and told her I would pick up our son to go play as soon as they were done. Which she told him. My son is very young, has autism and emotional issues. To say breaking promises to a child like that is not recommended, it's an understatement. This company was about to have me break my promise to my son. Why would they do that when a simple phone call(s) would have sufficed? Did they get more money from this other job that was so important they had to call their truck away from my driveway? I had the owner, Mike Johnson, call me back. I told him my story and he did not sound the least bit concerned. All he did was ask what he can do to "make it go away". No apology, sounded like he just wanted to get me off the phone. He said he was busy b/c he had 12 trucks on the road. I turned him down and told him everything I'm writing here. I'm a very understanding person. Sometimes people make mistakes. If these guys would have called me at the last second and told me they would be a couple hours late I could have understood but what they did instead is just plain unethical and, quite frankly, pretty messed up. If they can do something like this, what else are they capable of? Not only did he lose my business from my new place, I still own a house w/ my soon to be ex-wife and he lost my business on that house too. Save your time. Maybe you have to pay a few dollars more, maybe you get the same price or lower but either way you'll probably get a company that is more ethical in their standards.
