In July of 2023, we had our separate 1-car and 2-car garage floors finished by Tru Grit. The end…read moreproduct looked fairly good as long as you didn't look too closely. Some repairs after the initial installation were required which gives the floor an uneven look in some places. After the installation, the solvent smell in the 1-car garage never subsided making it impossible to be in that garage for any length of time. The 2-car garage did not have this problem. Tru Grit came back and added another topcoat in an attempt to eliminate the smell but that only helped slightly. After 3 weeks, the 1-car garage still had a fairly strong solvent smell. After 3 or 4 months, the smell did finally go away. The installation crew was sloppy. During the installation they marred the baseboards with their equipment which required touch-up painting in many places. They slopped the base coat on some of the shrubbery and ground cover. They dumped some sort of liquid in the grass in two different places which killed it, and they got some topcoat on the grass in a third place which also killed it. I had the curbing installed around the perimeter of both garages and they didn't do any preparation of those surfaces, covering blobs of left over sheetrock compound and caulk instead of first removing them. I also had them apply the basecoat to the threshold of the front door and they slopped it onto the door trim requiring significant touch-up painting. Tru Grit did offer to take care of correcting these items. Three years later, the floor looks pretty much like it did in the weeks after installation with one exception - The portion of the floor that is outside the garage overhead doors has yellowed quite noticeably. I noticed on their website in the Q&A portion that they don't actually answer the question as to how resistant the coatings are to UV exposure. The coating is still in place, but I am here to tell you, it DOES yellow over time.

We had to have a small section repaired about a year later (my fault) and Tru Grit was able to get it fixed in a little over 5 weeks from when we reached out. Visually it looks identical and you'd never know it was repaired other than a few rough spots they recommended we take a straight razor to. I'm a little disappointed that after paying for the repair, they asked us to finish the floor ourselves rather than sending one of their crew members over. That said, I understand they may have been busy with other jobs. Overall, we're very happy with the work and would absolutely recommend Tru Grit.

He contacted us right away, stayed in contact with us while we waited for the closing (which changed and he worked us into his schedule), let us know when he was coming and showed up on time. He cleaned all of the grout by hand with with a brush, sealed it with a brush, and mopped all of the tile after and left NO residue anywhere. He showed us how and what to use to clean the floors so that the seal will last longer. It is now December and let me tell you that the seal has been tested by dogs (vomit and urine) and Grandkids (spilling juices, milk, etc. and dropping sauces, etc.) and everything has cleaned up with no trace in the grout anywhere. All of the grout still looks perfect. I would highly recommend using Grout Rhino.

SOLID 5 STARS! This…read moreherewith is the chronicle of me, Peter the Pathetically Proud Pedant. Bright was the morning and high my heart when i set forth to fight the Mad Mold Monster, where events eventually eventuated as I shall now sing. Always anxiously alliterating with world weary wisdom and surprisingly superior sagacity I strove to complete this outrageously odiferous odyssey. Classic Restoration accompanied me on this quest. With Guido's gifted guiding and Karoline's Cagey calculating the Mad Mold Monster was defeated. Now since my furiously flying fingers are suffering from calamitous catastrophic cramp I will veto vociferous vocabulary and tell the tale. Whew! Sagas are hard work! My dishwasher leaked water and it got underneath my floor. Before replacing the floor I was told I need mold remediation. I hired a company to do mold testing and the results were positive for mold spores and a protocol was written. I got estimates from several companies that specialize in mold remediation and was dismayed at the various prices I was quoted. These ranged from $8,000 - $14,000 dollars since it would require tearing out and replacing walls and cabinets. Guido from Classic Restoration to the rescue! Guido informed me that before tearing apart my condo, I should have the flooring in the affected area removed to see exactly what the damage was. This made sense to me and Classic Restoration got the job. After removing the floor Guido determined that HEPA air cleaning, bacteria wipe down of the whole condo, and Bacteria bombing should solve the problem. The cost for these services came to $2,650! This is 1/3 of the lowest price quoted me by the other companies. I cannot thank Guido (& Karoline) enough for their honesty, hard work, and fair prices!
