If you dare ask any questions, he responds in a condescending manner. His own words, "I can't answer your question. I just wouldn't know how to answer you. " Why is he even here practicing medicine? The majority of the times I come here, they take in others before us and we're here for over an hour or two. This place was empty today. Only one person before us and then someone else came in a while later only to be seen first. I brought it up, and all I hear is "you'll be next". No accountability, no professionalism, no empathy. They give the vibe like It is, what it is. We don't care about your concerns or feedback.. I've been here since 4:14pm. It's now 6:31pm and still waiting. . I would understand if it was busy, but it's not. Unreal!!! The only Dr. we really like a lot here is Dr. Varma. Unfortunately, she isn't here today. She knows how to treat her patients. You can tell she likes her job. The rest seem miserable and they make your visit here just as they appear to be. If you decide to come, I don't recommend you get seen by the PA. He's awful. Read all the negative reviews. They aren't lying.

Dr. Aranez is extremely rude and unprofessional at times. He makes inappropriate jokes or asks you…read morerepeatedly where you are from like what country. He kept asking me if I was Italian since my last name sounds Italian after my c section. Like who cares where I am from just provide me care. He doesn't spend more than five minutes with you and rushes you. I had to go straight to this hospital to get my labor induced with pitocin after Dr. Aranez inserted a foley ballon inside me and broke my water. He was so aggressive and rough when inserting the ballon that it caused me pain. My labor was painful due to maybe my water breaking or getting induced with pitocin so I was yelling when the contractions hit. Dr. Aranez came in and reprimanded me telling me to stop yelling because I was scaring the other patients. He called my yelling crazy and me crazy for yelling. He even laughed at me because I was yelling and said he had many women in labor there that day, none of which were yelling. It's never ok to compare, we are all different. So insensitive, rude, unprofessional and wrong. The registered nurse also was horrible. She agreed with him and was mean as well as dismissive towards me. She would roll her eyes at me when I asked her to lower the strength of the pitocin they were administering to me or to check how dilated I was. She was annoyed by me and offered me no help whatsoever. I would call for her to come to my room and she would tell me she was with another patient and would get to me soon. Minutes would pass and she wouldn't come to my room so I would call again. Sometimes she wouldn't answer my call. When she did talk to me and explained things, she'd speak down to me like in a condescending way implying I am stupid or incapable of understanding. Then I demanded she shut the pitocin off and she became really angry. She told me that Dr. Aranez was going to be really upset with me and I would need to talk to him over the phone. Both Dr. Aranez and this registered nurse were inconsiderate, tired, stressed, angry, frustrated, uncaring, upset and rushed our encounters. Due to Dr. Aranez's and this registered nurse's terrible care or lack there of, I decided to just have a c section because I wanted the nightmare of having to deal with them to be over, that and I was having trouble dilating. I don't recommend him nor do I recommend Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. I had a horrendous experience and it has led to me having trauma, depression, anxiety, shame, anger, sadness, worry, regret, feelings of loss associated with my decision to have a c section. I wouldn't wish how I am feeling on my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, don't see Dr. Aranez or go to awful hospital. You will regret it I promise you.

Parking is very tiny with some street parking offered and the location is on the smaller side. Front desk is sweet but don't expect anyone to be in proper communication with Dr. Desai. The amount of times I have called to go in, have the front desk tell me it's easier to get a telehealth call and then be ghosted is sadly a few. No one seems to know what is going on in this office and at one point I had to call the office for them to remind Dr. Desai that he had a telahealth call at all. Don't bother with the virtual patient portal either, they have you create one and never check it. If you want a doctor who doesn't fully see or hear you as a person this location is for you. You should never have to dread going in because you don't feel listened to especially when healthcare is horrific in this current climate. This office will truly make you fight for yourself; if multiple phone calls to make sure they are communicating with each other and your primary doesn't fight to see if a medication you need can be covered with insurance (which he doesn't, he claimed he would try and months later I never heard a peep) then this is right up your alley. So sad. Don't recommend at all. Just changed my primary.

My experience with Dr. Mariya Nercessian's office has been one of the most frustrating healthcare…read moreexperiences my family has ever had. It is offices like this that unfortunately damage UCLA Health's reputation. The problems began when a medically necessary Vitamin D laboratory test ordered for my mother while she was undergoing long-term anastrozole therapy for breast cancer was billed without the diagnosis coding and supporting documentation necessary to demonstrate medical necessity. The result was a Medicare denial and a bill for $306.60 that could likely have been avoided had the claim been properly documented in the first place. When Noridian Healthcare Solutions, Medicare's Administrative Contractor, requested my mother's medical records from Dr. Nercessian's office as part of her Medicare appeal, the situation became even more concerning. On June 16, I sent an urgent MyChart message with a detailed legal memorandum explaining that Noridian had requested my mother's medical records from Dr. Nercessian's office and asking the office to respond promptly. Later that same day, I received a reply from Dr. Mariya Nercessian's staff stating that the office had not received any request from Noridian. I immediately attached Noridian's own letter - which clearly stated that records had already been requested from the provider - and asked the office to search every appropriate department and contact Noridian directly if necessary. After that, communication stopped. On June 17, I sent another detailed message asking the office to search records, billing, laboratory, pathology, referral, and administrative departments because Noridian had already confirmed in writing that it had requested my mother's medical records from Dr. Mariya Nercessian's office. Then...nothing. By July 1, approximately 10 business days later (excluding weekends and the Juneteenth holiday), I still had not received a response. I was forced to send yet another MyChart message pointing out that UCLA Health tells patients to expect responses within approximately two business days, yet my message had gone unanswered far beyond that timeframe. I requested only a simple status update: * Had the Noridian request been located? * Had my mother's medical records been submitted to Noridian? * If not, what was being done? Again, no response from Dr. Mariya Nercessian or her staff. As of today, July 8, 2026, despite repeated, polite, detailed, and well-documented communications, there still has not been a response addressing these questions. What makes this especially disappointing is that this unnecessary stress was placed on my family immediately after my 72-year-old mother had recently undergone pacemaker implantation. At a time when our focus should have been on her recovery, we instead had to spend weeks trying to persuade a physician's office to respond to Noridian's request for my mother's medical records and answer basic portal messages. Patients understand that physicians are busy. What is much harder to understand is: * failing to submit appropriate supporting documentation for a medically necessary test, * telling a patient no request had been received from Noridian when the patient could provide documentation showing otherwise, * failing to investigate thoroughly, * failing to provide timely status updates despite repeated requests, and * allowing a time-sensitive Medicare appeal to languish while the patient repeatedly sought answers. Communication is part of patient care. Unfortunately, Dr. Mariya Nercessian's office fell far short of the standards I expected from UCLA Health.
