I sat down and was able to be seen by a physician in 15 minutes. I bought a book to keep myself busy, because my mind was racing. I was panicking thinking how will I walk around if I'm in major pain. I walked in to the room. My blood pressure and stats were taken, and a doctor reviewed my symptoms. I was able to discuss how much it hurt and she was able to press each toe to figure out if I needed an X-ray. I was impressed with the level of precision with the radiologist who took multiple radiographs. He was professional and helpful. It was later than I found out the news. I felt relieved to hear that it wasn't broken, yet the physician handed me a special shoe to wear to keep it protected. The medical team worked together to bring some ease to my day. I appreciate my visit today and felt better with all their care. It was so calming to hear it's probably going to be a few days of the Velcro shoe and then back to normal. I would recommend this place if you are like me and potentially need to get an X-ray.

She called them today to ask if she could be given an appointment a bit closer to home for us than what they'd initially set up - and was told that there might be another option in Queens. We asked for the address of said place in Queens. Kinda important, since we're dealing with a foot fracture and can't move around super easily. At least the block or thereabouts. The lady on the phone flat out REFUSED to give us the address, despite being asked THREE TIMES "please let us know what the address of this place is, so we can see how to get there". Every time she'd avoid giving us a straight answer, almost aggressively. Somehow, someway, the person on the phone simply would not provide a geographical location/address - and doubled-down by telling my wife "if you don't make a decision now, and if you have to cancel the appointment, you'll be in trouble later". We'd completely understand if there were some rule or regulation keeping her from giving us a street address - but she never mentioned anything along those lines. She simply tried to be as unhelpful and rude as possible. Absolute sham of a service, almost malicious incompetence on display. Hope other CityMDs have better staff.

A few years ago, we brought my son in and the staff quickly recognized that he had pneumonia. They were thorough, attentive, and would not allow us to leave until they arranged a transfer to Elmhurst ER, which I truly appreciated. During what was a very stressful and scary situation as a parent, they took the time to explain everything clearly and made my son feel calm, safe, and comfortable. On another visit with my youngest child, we again received excellent care. The staff was kind, patient, and reassuring, and we never felt rushed. This location is also never busier than expected, and the registration process is always quick and efficient, which makes a big difference when you're there with a sick child. Overall, we've felt well cared for each time and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The staff is very friendly, and on my first visit, the receptionist explained when I need to pay, and when I don't. I was very surprised that on a follow-up for the blood results, I did not have to pay co-pay! The office is really cozy and inviting, which makes everyone feel more at ease. And Dr. Charlotten was really great! He really takes his time with you, and is super thorough. He asks you all the right questions, and I never felt intimidated or anything when I was telling him my problems. He is very patient and tries his best to understand you and gives solutions to your ailments. He gives the necessary tests. For example, he noticed that my sister's tonsils were a bit inflammed, so he ran some allergy tests, and it turns out that my sister is allergic to cockroaches! Which is pretty funny, but sucks for her, cause those buggers are everywhere. Dr. Charlotten is definitely the most thorough doctor that I have ever had. Women's health, pediatric care, and occupational medicine are all areas of their specialty. They've done a good job at maintaining the place, which is impressive given how many folks they see on a daily basis. The only time I've ever seen it crazy here was during the pandemic. Lines out the door for COVID testing and despite social distancing, it felt like there were endless heaps of people. If there was any blemish, it may be the people behind the desk. Decided to visit Smart Health Medical and specifically see Dr. Vi and I was so pleased with my first visit I've never gone anywhere else in the last five years! The office accepts walk-ins (from what I remember written on the door, I could be wrong) as well as appointments, and they have great late night and weekend hours a couple times a week. I continue to see Dr. Vi for annual physicals, check-ups and any unknown symptoms even after moving to the Bronx. When I move out of the city someday I'll be sad to leave Dr. Vi behind but while I'm here I cannot recommend her enough. As everyone says, she cares about her patients and takes her time with us. She actively listens and is so well versed in so many different types of treatments and good lifestyle habits. If you don't need pills, she''ll tell you that and offer up better everyday habits that can help you live and feel better. She takes a holistic approach to your health and is in no way a pill-pusher looking to make insurance money off you. Most of my visits result in a clean bill of health after taking vitals, and blood or urine samples on site--if necessary. But when you do need a scan, treatment or prescription she goes above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you need, when you need it, and makes sure it's covered under your insurance so you're not hit with sticker shock at the pharmacy or referred specialist. The office even faxed my referral paperwork to a specialist when I forgot the paper at home before my appointment. Saved me from having to reschedule or take off work to go home and get it.
