I get that she's just doing her job, but some people have different circumstances. The first time she said it, ok, but after the third time, it was EXTREMELY annoyingly. She showed no empathy/compassion and probably just thought I was making excuses. Needless to say, I was not impressed with her attitude and lack of respect. My previous dentist was knowledgeable and encouraged me to keep my teeth healthy, but had a way of being really nice about it and never made me feel terrible. Even when I showed hesitation in getting my wisdom tooth extracted (I was clearly nervous) and asked her what my options were, she very plainly said, "you can do nothing or get it removed!". Like I know that Sherlock; I was looking for more information and reasoning. One of the worst dentists I've encountered and lacks experience in patient care and bedside manner. Do not recommend - seek an alternative dentist. I will say though that the receptionists were very kind, courteous and attentive. They answered my questions politely and respectfully.

They did text to communicate when I first signed up just before covid, but, either that employee did it on her own phone. or they stopped using the service they used to use to text me. either way. they would call me for appointments. and miss me as I was at work couldn't take the call. and when I called back it would go to voicemail. and they don't seem to email. so I got a missed call during work. and by the time I remembered about it and called back they were closed. couldn't recall if I had an appointment that weekend or not but I knew I had one in Aug...... decided I needed to find a dentist that texted emailed and actually answered their phones. so. why did I give them 5 stars when they told me it was 1 visit and now I have to come back for another hour of cleaning? the hygienist.... wouldn't budge. she told me it needed more than 1 hour cleaning. and she wasn't willing to sacrifice my teeth to accommodate my demands. she got receptionist in to talk sense in to me. and when that didn't do the trick they then got the dentist in. to talk to me. and finally I just agreed. NOT because they bully me, but because they cared enough to say NO, no we are not squishing 2 hours of much needed dental cleaning into a 1 hour slot. I am happy they cared enough to stand their ground. I really liked her cleaning pace. I didn't feel apprehensive because I could mentally follow along with where she was cleaning. she rocks! dentist was awesome too. came in. made sure I knew what the game plan is. when I come back again. and what we doing to make sure I stay on top of areas. Koodos to the guy who did my X-rays. it's not easy squishing those wings in there at just the right spot. he took his time. and it went well. I felt good I didn't feel nervous. And the receptionist team were amazing I left them figuring out billing for my two insurance there was something iffy about who to bill how much or something. Hahaha. Having to so frequently dig buried stuff out with a toothpick or dental brush often kept the area inflamed and swollen for days at a time, which would lead to more impaction, which led to more inflammation, etc. Over time my teeth shifted, and I began having the same problem on the OTHER side of the offending molar, too. It was making me crazy, to the point I'd wake up in the middle of the night and have to floss again, even though I'd done so before going to bed. When I asked if a solution was possible, Dr. Goran added some matrix to both sides of the molar's surface, and my 30 year long dental problem disappeared literally overnight. The procedure was painless and took less than an hour. Two years later, the matrix is still in place, and my former problem remains resolved. Office service here is always efficient and friendly, too. I'd recommend even for dental scaredy-cats.

My root-canal appointment had to be cancelled a few times, as I waiting for the Canadian Dental Care Plan Card Enrollment to be evaluated and for the Card to arrive by mail. Sydney, the receptionist was extremely helpful by reassuring me that I was able to reschedule without issues. Dr. Ros was extremely professional and my root-canal was not painful.

Ian takes the time to listen to his patient's concerns, and nothing is overlooked. Ian is very meticulous in his examinations, but considerate of his patients at the same time. Connie, at reception, is nothing short of amazing; if you had issues prior to seeing Dr. McDonald, she will usually call the next day to ensure you're comfortable, and not experiencing any pain/issues. I can honestly say that this is the best experience I've had at a dental practice, and I hope they will be around for a long time to come!
