The beer was quite good - nothing extraordinary, but all solid to excellent. The oatmeal IPA was a standout - the oat added a nice, smooth finish to the hoppy beer. The coffee stout was nice and strong (10.3%). A bit one-note, but when that note is great coffee, I'm not going to complain. Food was equally enjoyable, if not more so. Nachos were baked - warm and crispy and hearty, with great mix of chicken, guac, tomatoes and red onion - nothing like the blob of crap you often get back in the states. The Pollo negro à la stout was incredibly flavorful, with a dark beer sauce to pour over it. Our server, Alec, was incredibly friendly. My wife enjoyed exercising her Spanish and talking beer with him, and he helped us pick some bottles to go. He seemed legit pleased when we told him the place reminded us of the kind of cool, indie spot we love back home in Brooklyn (high praise indeed from Brooklyners)!

A long bar wrapped the entire restaurant with a great selection of beers, spirits, and liquors. Several dark and brown colored booths surrounded by bookshelves with real books. Decorated glass flanked the windows, particularly those at the front door. This is where anything reminding you of an Irish bar ended. Opening the menu there was sandwiches, burgers, chicken fingers, jamon, cheese plates, olives, and other Spanish dishes. There were no Irish dishes unless you count the Guiness beer and Guiness burger. My friends and I ordered the patatas with jamon and huevos and a jamon and queso quesadilla. The patatas dish was large enough for a few people to share and the pastas were crispy and a little salty. I did not try the Jakob and eggs as they looked a little questionable. The quesadilla was not that good as it was just thin jamon and cheese smashed between two pieces of bread. There was no spice or real taste to it. On the side they did have guacamole and sour cream, but they were pretty bland as well. The two bright lights of our meal was our server who was very nice and attentive and the chocolate cake we ordered at the end. The chocolate was super rich and decadent. If you are looking for real Irish food this is not the place. Probably the best place would be to actually go to Ireland and not Spain to find real authentic Irish food. Keep going!

What we ordered: we decided to get a flight for 9€. We got to choose 5 types to try. We tried the 1,2,5,6,7. My favorites were the 2 (açaí beer!) and the 5 (red rice).
