Most miserable and down right boring place you could possibly be sent to. Felt more like a prison than a job.

This small post office has made shipping easy and fun again!!…read more There are two people I have seen working at this post office and David is extremely helpful and knowledgable about all things USPS. Most times I go into a post office expecting to pull my hair out with frustration and to be greeted with unfriendliness and inefficiency. David, while usually working by himself, is quick to get you taken care of and gives you all the time in the world to ask all your questions and send your packages in the best way possible. Have you ever gone to the post office and had your box ready to go except for the one or two pieces of shipping tape to close the box? And some post offices claim that they cannot possibly spare you one slice of tape, unless of course you send via priority... And then they don't tell you until you have already purchased and used one strip of an over-priced shipping tape reel from their store?? Well, not here. David will do all that he can to be helpful. David has put the joy back in package and letter sending--- he is cheerful whether the line is out the door 15 minutes before closing at the Christmas time rush or when there is nobody there at 10:00am on a normal day. My only complaint is that they do not have an overly-festive stamp inventory to choose from, but I can get those online since I am picky. Be sure to get here at the less-rushed times and you will get awesome service with a smile.

Rarely busy but always a ton of workers. Usually, there are staff in training. I'm not sure if the…read moresmall size makes it a great training facility for people heading elsewhere or if turnover is that high. There is one point of entry, pre-check to the left, everyone else to the right. Sometimes the ask you to scan your boarding pass, so, i keep mine handy. On average, security is -5min, even if they check your bag. Interestingly, I've had quite the mix of very thorough checks of every day items & items I expected to be pulled over for go through without a hitch. Today we were pulled for a set of coasters we had in the carry-on to take to my MIL. They were very careful with the check & repack, to the point the supervisor told them to just give it to us to put back before we miss our flight. (We were still ok on time, but it probably wasn't a 3-man job.) On entry, you're directed to 1 of the 2 scanners. Precheck gets a laminated card & goes through the walk through scanner. The new equipment scanning bags is painfully slow, though it's said to be more efficient. I can't imagine how it would go in a busy hub. Well, that's today's experience. Time to get on the plane to MSP.

One officer fields boarding passes for pre check and the normal line. Sometimes it maybe faster to go through the regular line regardless of your pre check status. Just saying. Staff has always been polite. But I'm proactive about not carrying twenty bucks in nickels on my person. Removing shoes and belt before etc. Metal detectors. A body scanner. Benches after to put your shoes back on. Onto your gate to board within two minutes. The TSA lines with more workers are slower! People ARE actively being reviewed or trained. Seems counter intuitive but choose the lines with one person working. They can handle the load by themselves and you will be through much faster than the line with four TSA people. Trust me.
