The stained glass windows are remarkable, the Linz window depicts scenes from Linz history. We have seen a LOT of cathedrals and churches on this tour and trust me this is worth it especially if you like gothic. The crypt hold bishops from 1785 onwards (coffins moved here from the old cathedral).

Tram?, to view the city instead from atop the hill. This may be the largest church in Austria, but it lacks the beauty and atmosphere of the church which is in Vienna. So, if you are on a limited time like we were, skip this and head on the tram instead.

Blue Danube! This pretty bridge spans the Danube,…read moreconnecting the old town inner city of Linz to the other Urfahr districts. The bridge was completed in 1940, and looks older! It has lit white panels along the side, and looks pretty when reflecting across the Danube and the crazily lit Technology museum at the other end of the bridge. Those white panels hide radar reflectors! Cool! The bridge has stone walkways that take you down to the river. The bridge offers six wide traffic lanes crossing it, as well as tram tracks for easy transit. Convenient! There are docks right at the base of the bridge, which make for a quick walk to the inner city.
