Great guy! servicial and very kind

I love this little piece of goodness in the middle of nothing. I was able to find all the snacks and drinks I needed. Great for on the go snacks and big selection in specialty products including wine.

    Best super market ever

This could be some fine wine bar in Napa, but it's not. What it is, is the bodega wine bar that…read moreevery Manhattanite wishes his Korean-owned corner bodega would actually be. The room itself is less than 500 sq ft, and there is no temperature controlled wine cellar. What there are tho, are red solo cups if you want to pop open a big ass stank Baja red to go. Good enough for me.

Wait, can you spell that?!". We tried not to play along and smiled politely. - I asked him a couple questions about the wines and then again he asked where we were really from ( he sensed an accent ). I said "We're actually born in Colombia" and then he went on again: "Oh man! Thank God!! You had me worried there I actually thought you were Canadian!!" - At that point I said "Thanks for your help" and then started walking out when he turned to me and said: "Wait a minute, are you actually not going to buy anything? Are you THAT cheap? Dude!! You just realized your fucking Canadian stereotype!!" We felt so insulted .... I'm not at all surprised to read other reviews here saying he tends his shop drunk and regularly insults Canadian tourists. Just absolutely terrible.

This place has a Sushi Restaurant called "Kiny Sushi" and it was fabulous! This is its review…read more... We had planned to visit RickSan for its Mexican-inspired sushi, but a change of course -- and a few new local friends -- led us here instead. What a discovery. Each dish revealed a graceful balance between Japanese tradition and the warmth of Mexican spice. The subtle heat of chili against the sweetness of sea crab, the delicate lift of yuzu in place of lemon on the hamachi sashimi -- every plate seemed impossible to surpass, until the next arrived. Nothing here tries to outshine the essence of classic Japanese flavors; rather, each touch feels considered and harmonious. The tuna with pineapple and a whisper of cayenne was quietly brilliant, and the final karaage shrimp roll proved an unforgettable crescendo. Tucked discreetly at the back of a wine market, Kiny Sushi restaurant is a hidden gem -- refined, imaginative, and utterly memorable. Yes I sound like a pretentious food snob--but yeah it was really that good!

Okay, update since my 2019 Yelp review that tried to rip this place a new a$$ orifice…read more.. New location, moved from the corner to halfway down the street. Nicer store. Well lighted, clean, well organized, nice folks. Not a tremendous selection. Maybe 200 wines. Other room has the booze. The selection there is fairly small. Tonight bought two different Chilean Pinot noirs. 1st bottle price = $11, 2nd bottle is = $18. Both passable. I live in the Sonoma valley of northern California wine country, I drink a LOT of wine. These two South American bottles easily compete quality wise with my hometown vintages that's cost two to three times as much. So, if you are a Medano beach area condo owner who cooks at home occasionally and needs wine and don't want to drive to Fresko or Costco, this place can provide a bottle that will do nicely.
