Since it's not an Esso station, you can't scan your PC Optimum card to earn points. I was in Orillia yesterday for an early dinner. I saw this Circle K on my way to the restaurant. After I was done stuffing myself silly, I drove over to this Circle K to redeem a coupon. This Circle K is next door to a McDonald's. Both the gas station and convenience store are branded as Circle K. This area rarely has an Esso gas station with a Circle K convenience store. I had a coupon for a free medium Polar Pop. I was pleased to see that this store marketed itself as the Thirst Shop. Yay! I find that in the greater Toronto area, if a Circle K has a Tim Hortons as part of the store, the Polar Pop and Froster machines have disappeared. Sad. This Circle K didn't have a Tim Hortons. It was large and spacious, with everything that I could ask for and more. Egg salad sandwiches. Fruit. Reese's products. Pop. Beer. Candy It had Polar Pop, Froster, and Swirl soft serve machines. I was so happy and relieved! There were a lot of Polar Pop flavours to choose from. I ended up getting Jones pineapple cream soda. I didn't know if this pineapple cream soda was going to taste good. For the first time in my life at any Circle K, I put some ice in my cup, filled it up with a bit of this cream soda, took a sip, and determined whether I'd want to fill up my cup. The Jones pineapple cream soda was delicious. I continued to fill up my cup and got a straw. I headed to the counter and redeemed my coupon. A nice man was putting away items under the counter. He eventually greeted me. He scanned the barcode on my cup. He then went to scan my coupon. The first time didn't take. He had to log in and he scanned the coupon again. Success! I thanked the man and left with my drink. It got me home. I loved this drink a lot. It was great stopping by. I'd return for more yummy drinks whenever I'm in Orillia. (157)

We went to Algonquin for the long weekend and saw this place on the way up and decided we HAD to come back to it on the way home! When we pulled up the place was packed! Tons of rainbow signs and displays very colourful. Inside is kind of small looks more like a house turned store. I'm not gonna lie.. The prices were so inflated I was honestly flabbergasted. $20 for a 12pk of cherry coke? Holy moly. I know, cottage country... They don't sell cherry coke in Canada which means it's imported from buffalo. But wow. The tiny "bags" of candy $5+ . Needless to say we didn't get much. I like the $5 surprise bags tho, those are definitely worth it. We also picked up some airheads, double bubble and big league chew. They also sell memorabilia stuff like mugs, tin signs, bobbleheads and such. Cute place to stop off on your way to/from the cottage. I give it 3 1/2 stars

My only complaint: candy bags were often large (250g) when really, all I wanted was a few to taste. I don't need a pound or two. My dentist is rich enough as is. I don't need to finance his new deck. I suppose the bag size would be fine if I had self discipline. But as I write this I'm slowly slipping into a diabetic coma. Also sells some neat collectibles and memorabilia.
